The brothers faced an arachne after it lured Sam to Bristol, Rhode Island to get revenge for Sam's actions during his time without a soul. Sam had used the human sheriff as bait. The sheriff was turned into an arachne and then, since Sam did not realize what had happened, he shot the sheriff thinking it was a merciful death.

Instead, the sheriff had become an arachne that survived and turned several women into creatures as well.

While Sam and Dean first thought they were hunting multiple ghosts in the episode, "Fallen Idols" actually involved a God. "Mannequin 3: The Reckoning" involved a ghost possessing mannequins - and the Impala. "It's a Terrible Life" involved a ghost killing people to protect the economic health of his former company. And, "Dead in the Water" involved the ghost of a child back to avenge his death.

In "Jump the Shark", Sam and Dean found out they had a brother, but it turned out their brother Adam and his mother had both been killed by ghouls, who then set out to kill the Winchester brothers. Ghouls also appeared in "Caged Heat" when ghouls once again tried to kill them.

In "Monster Movie", Sam and Dean hunted a shapeshifter that was transforming into various horror movie monsters. "Two and a Half Men" also involved shapeshifters, including a baby and the alpha.

The okami is usually only in Japan. Rufus thought he had killed it, so he and Bobby buried it. Bobby then had to save his neighbor from the creature and he did so by shoving it into a wood chipper. The lamia is the creature Sam and Dean were hunting in the same episode.

In "Frontierland", Sam and Dean went back in time to 1861 to kill a phoenix and get the ashes. Phoenix ash was the only thing they knew of that could kill Eve. "Mommy Dearest" was all about Eve. "Caged Heat" was about going after Crowley in his torture chambers. "Wishful Thinking" involved a cursed coin that granted wishes and led to chaos.

In "Sex and Violence", the siren infected men with its saliva and got them to kill for it. Husbands killed wives, a son killed his mother and before Bobby stopped it, Dean was about to kill Sam.

Sam and Dean started the episode thinking it was a werewolf killing people. They then discovered it was a skinwalker, in the form of a family's dog. While they killed numerous skinwalkers in the episode, the one they first caught, who had been trying to protect the family that took him in, got away.

In "Wendigo", Sam and Dean went to Blackwater Ridge, Colorado searching for their dad and wound up helping siblings find their brother that had been taken by a wendigo. Dean and the boy's sister, Haley, were briefly taken by the creature as well but Sam was able to find them, and the Winchesters saved the family and killed the wendigo.

"Everybody Loves a Clown" involved a Rakshasa that was killing the parents of children that would let the creature in their homes. "Playthings" involved a ghost. "Heart" involved a werewolf. "What is and What Should Never Be" involved a djinn.
