Answer: Melinda's grandmother

2. Who was Melinda's first ghost that she sees again later that needs Melinda's help to find her parents as soon as possible?

Answer: Sarah Applewhite

After the second time Melinda saw the first ghost she ever saw, Melinda remembers how she and her mom eventually stopped communicating. Melinda must now help the ghost, Sarah, find her parents before it's too late. This was in season 1, episode 15.
3. A boy named Kenny Dale, who was killed in a collision with a train wants Melinda's help to tell his mother that his death wasn't her fault. What was the reason Kenny was killed and not his mother?

Answer: He went back to the car after his mother got him out to get a toy spider

Kenny's mother always told him that if he ever got lost, to stay where he was and she would find him. When Melinda told Kenny that his mother was not coming because he had passed away, Kenny asked for Melinda's help to find his parents. He wanted them to know that his death was not their fault. He also wanted to prevent his father from making a big mistake by harming the used car salesman who sold them the broken down car that stalled on the railroad track causing the accident.
4. There was a young girl taking a night swim in a lake and drowned. Who is the ghost that wants Melinda to help get her twin sister out of a mental hospital?

5. When an ambulance with a patient crashes, Jim receives a head injury, but it's not serious. At the hospital, Melinda encounters a ghost named Hope Paulson, whose husband blamed himself for the death of his wife, Hope. What caused her death?

Hopes unfinished business was to reassure her husband that her death wasn't his fault. The surgeon was the one who made the mistake during her surgery that caused her death.
6. Melinda found a woman's lost spirit through electronic voice phenomenon, then found out she fell into a hole and was electrocuted resulting in her death. Melinda worked with the woman to reconcile with her son and help him cope with his father. What was the name of the woman who was electrocuted?

Answer: Lacy Jensen

The boy's mother's ghost first appeared to Melinda in a static form. After Melinda was able to help Kirk, Lacy changed back to her normal appearance before she finally went into the light. This was in season 1, episode 9.
7. After a stand-up comedian, Stan Rosenfeld, commits suicide, he becomes an earthbound spirit. Melinda tries to help him find out what happened to him and why since he had forgotten so he could move on. How did he commit suicide?

Answer: He jumped off of a bridge

Before Stan Rosenfeld committed suicide, he was a comedian at the same place for years and became depressed. After he died, his girlfriend blamed herself for his death and stopped pursuing her dream. She had an offer to go someplace else that would be better for her.

After a gig later that night, she found out Stan had committed suicide and became depressed as well. When Melinda met Stan and made things right between the couple, she finally became a comedian again in the same bar as Stan. She was very successful and finally made her dream come true by just being a comedian to make people laugh again.
8. Melinda meets a very angry young boy's spirit named, Daniel Greene, who is haunting his mother and baby sister. How did Daniel Greene die?

Answer: In a car accident

Daniel wanted to ensure that his baby sister would have a better life than he had when he was alive. After he died in a car accident, he haunted his mother and sister because he was trying to protect his baby sister and make sure she was safe with the help of Melinda, before he would go into the light.
9. An African-American man was murdered by a co-worker in the 1970s who got away with the murder. How was he murdered?

Answer: He was bashed to death

The African-American man was jumped and murdered by a white person he had been working with in the 1970s. The guy was not charged for his murder even though there was evidence proving it. He started haunting the prosecuting attorney since he was the one who failed to file charges against the co-worker for his murder.

When the ghost and Melinda met, she tried to help him find his justice and to stop his son from being a racist so he could stop racism in the future.
10. Melinda met, fell in love with and married a paramedic and lived in a small town named Grand View. Who was the lucky paramedic?

Answer: Jim Clancy

Melinda met, fell deeply in love with and married Jim. Jim was charming, loving, caring and didn't think twice about believing Melinda when she shared her gift with him. Even though he didn't understand a lot of things and they went through a lot of tough times together, he loved her unconditionally.

He was accidentally shot by a cop in the arm later on in season four. He dies from an embolism in the hospital after surgery the same night he was shot.
