Wilson Fisk is a well known businessman in New York City. At night though, he is the man that runs all of the organized crime in the city.

The Kingpin was first introduced as a villain for Spider-Man, but quickly became one of Daredevil's most popular villains when he started paying close attention to Hell's Kitchen in the comic books.

His first appearance in a comic was in "The Amazing Spider-Man" #50 in July 1967.

Fisk is the main villain in the entire first season of "Daredevil."

They clarified to her that she would be their first client, they had passed the bar a few months earlier, but just opened their practice.

Murdock said that they had been practicing law for 7.5 hours when asked how long they had been lawyers. After a short discourse about when they passed the bar, Foggy agreed that it was 7.5 hours, and Karen also repeated the comment.

She had no money to pay the pair, but Matt decided to take the case anyway.

James Murdock was a boxer who often fought on behalf of the mob. He was good enough to win most fights, but would often throw a fight in order to make more money for people betting on it.

James was killed after he tried to stand up to the mob and refused to throw a fight. After winning the fight he was supposed to throw, he was murdered later that night.

The fight that James refused to throw was against a young up and comer named "Crusher" Creel, that character later becomes the Absorbing Man on the "Agents of Shield" television show, furthering the continuity in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Answer: Stick

Only ever referred to as Stick, Matt Murdock's mentor trained him in martial arts, and on how to use his enhanced abilities to his advantage.

In the comic book world Stick also trained Elektra and Wolverine. Neither of those characters appeared in the first season of "Daredevil."

Stick was played by Scott Glenn in the show, and not portrayed as having a good relationship with the adult Matt Murdock.

"You can leave the lights off," he told the worker as he entered the apparently-closed gym.

Also seen hanging on the wall is a poster promoting a fight between Creel and Murdock.

This is a reference to the fight Matt's father refused to throw and was later killed because of.

Fogwell's Gym was well known in the comic book the show was adapted from as the place where James Murdock trained.
