Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What is the name of the titular Mandalorian?

Answer: It's not revealed

Actor Pedro Pascal revealed the character's name in an interview after the pilot released. That name was Din Djarin. However, during the episode, the name was never revealed.
2. Greef Karga, the head of the Bounty Hunter Guild, was played by which actor?

Answer: Carl Weathers

Weathers is perhaps best known for the playing boxer Apollo Creed in four of the "Rocky" movies. This is Weathers first appearance in the Star Wars Franchise. He's one of several well-known actors to have a role in the pilot, including Nick Nolte, Brian Posehn, Taikia Waiatiti and Werner Herzog.
3. How many life forms were attacking the Mandalorian's bounty in the opening scene?

Answer: Three

It's notable because at that point the audience didn't yet know if the character could fight. He quickly dispatched the three attackers and was thanked by the alien he "saved" them from. Moments later he took that alien into custody as there was a bounty out on him.
4. The Mandalorian loved robots and droids.

Answer: False

It's shown twice int he episode that he dislikes them. Early on he refuses to use a speeder that was operated by an R2 unit. Later in the episode, he is upset that a bounty droid is ruining his chances at the bounty he is looking for at that time. Both times he says derogatory things about droids.
5. Why did Greef Cargam not have a lot of work for the Mandalorian?

Answer: Guild prices were high

Cargam only had a few options for bounties for the main character. Specifically, he mentions a couple of bail jumpers and a smuggler. He said that the rest of the bounties he had didn't want to pay Guild rates and that they didn't care if the work was sloppy.
6. What was the Mandalorian's armor made out of?

Answer: Beskar

Beskar, or Mandalorian Steel as it is known in the greater "Star Wars" Universe is a super-strong metal that can withstand most attacks. The details of the metal weren't discussed in the show, but he was paid with a small piece down and a promise of much more if he delivered on the bounty he was hired to track down.

The small piece was enough to make him a new part of his armor, and provide money for several young Foundlings.
7. What species of creature attacked the Mandalorian, and was later tamed by him enough to ride?

Answer: Blurrg

Kuiil, the Ugnaught played by Nick Nolte, insisted that the Mandalorian learn to ride the creature after they stunned the two that attacked him. Kuiil told him that traveling by Burrg was the only way to get to where they needed to go.
8. The episode's main bounty only has to be killed and have proof of the kill, not be brought in alive.

Answer: False

While the IG-11 unit has a kill order for it, the Mandalorian was told to bring the bounty in alive at all possible. Dr. Pershing insists for live capture, but Werner Herzog's character who wasn't named in the episode said the proof of death would pay a smaller amount.
9. How old is the bounty that both the IG unit and the Mandalorian is seeking out?

Answer: 50 years

It appears to them as a baby of the same unknown species that Yoda and Yaddle are from. Very little information is known other than its age. Why it appears to still be a baby isn't explained well, only a reference that species age at different rates.
10. Which character is the last to be shot in the episode?

Answer: IG-11

IG-11 was about to kill the baby-like bounty. For reasons unknown, the Mandalorian shot IG-11 in head and took the bounty alive, rather than letting him terminate it. The last shot fired in the episode happens off-screen, though IG-11's smoking head with a gaping hole in it quickly drops into the frame.
