Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. George's cousin worked for what restaurant?

Answer: Bouchard's

George mentions this when he and Jerry visit Mr. Daurimple to talk about the script of their pilot called "Jerry". The NBC president had eaten some pasta primavera that Elaine sneezed on from Pfifer's.
2. How many sponges come in a case?

Answer: 60

Elaine cleans out the entire west side of the Today Sponge after she discovers that the form of birth control has been taken off the market. She later refuses to give one to George when he needs it the most.
3. When Kramer hoards Pottery Barn catalogs in the 'junk mail' episode, Jerry takes one because he wants to buy what item?

Answer: an old looking phone

Kramer is dissatisfied with receiving too many Pottery Barn catalogs, so he saves them up and drops them off at the Pottery Barn store. He later tries to stop the mail by dissuading people from going into the post office on a Sunday, when it is obviously closed.
4. The stock in which Jerry and George each invest 2500 dollars is a company that does what?

Answer: televises opera

The robot butcher is mentioned later in the episode as another stock tip that George received, and the roll-out tie dispenser is a Kramer idea. Sendrex, the company that George and Jerry invested in that televises opera, falls for a while and Jerry sells. George claims that he is "going down with the ship" and it pays off for him as the value climbs back up and he makes a large sum of money.
5. In the 'face painter' episode, Devils fan David Puddy berates which Rangers player at the Devils vs. Rangers playoff game (which he attends with Jerry, Kramer, and Elaine)?

Answer: Mark Messier

All four choices are members of the 1994-1995 Rangers team. After the Devils victory, Puddy is so excited that he yells at a priest visiting from El Salvador, convincing him that he is in fact the devil himself.
6. What university did Elaine go to?

Answer: Tufts

Elaine mentions this to the cabbie in the 'Puerto Rican Day' episode. She is trying to get home to "unwind", but instead blocks Jerry from escaping the bad traffic.
7. In the 'checks' episode, George says there is no need to buy what item because "you can get them for free in the coffee shop"?

Answer: umbrellas

George displays his outright stupidity when he assumes the umbrellas in the can at the front of the coffee shop don't belong to people. It is this lack of concern for others that contributes to George's failure in life.
8. After seeing the 'English Patient', one of Elaine's friends says she would give up her firstborn for which actor in the movie?

Answer: Ralph Fiennes

Elaine ends up losing her boyfriend and her job (temporarily) because she doesn't like the 1996 hit movie "The English Patient". She prefers the comedy "Sack Lunch" instead. One of the scenes in the "English Patient" that most troubles Elaine is the "sex in a tub" scene, because it "doesn't work". The other three choices are also characters from the movie.
9. Another money question: How many dollars does George have in his bank account when he is forced to move back in with his parents?

Answer: 714

George mentions this when he is talking to Kramer and Jerry in Jerry's apartment during the puffy shirt episode. George becomes a hand model later in the episode, but in typical Costanza fashion his hopes are dashed when the low talker pushes him into an ironing board, scarring his hands when he grabs the hot iron.
10. In the 'Dealership' episode, George accuses a dealership employee of stealing his Twix bar from the vending machine. When George accuses him to his face, the employee insists it was what kind of candy bar?

Answer: Fifth Avenue

This is one of the great episodes from the last season. Too bizarre to describe.
