Claire sort of faltered because of the heat, but she was all right for then. She offered to help Kate, and also guessed correctly that Kate's zodiac sign was Gemini.

While Jack was chasing after his father, he ended up falling off a cliff. Jack managed to hold on to a root or vine, and Locke showed up to save the day and pulled Jack up. After Jack was out of danger, Locke asked if Jack was okay, and for some reason, Jack started laughing. It must have been some sort of shock reaction or something!

The woman who drowned was named Joanna, and she wasn't supposed to be on the plane. Kate found out that she had gotten an ear infection after scuba diving at the Great Barrier Reef. Her doctor had grounded her for two days and she bumped her flight.

She had gone swimming the morning of her death and gotten caught in a riptide. Jack was upset that he had never talked to her, and he believed that he didn't try to save her.

In a flashback, Jack's mother was telling Jack that his father was gone, and that she wanted him to bring him back. Jack said that they hadn't spoken in two months and that he couldn't go after him. During this conversation it was clear that Jack did something to destroy his relationship with his father. Finally, Jack relented and agreed to look for his father in Australia.

Technically, Jin never said where he got the water bottles. Instead, he pointed at Sawyer, but he never said it. Sayid first questioned Sun, but she replied in Korean and they didn't seem to understand each other. Jin broke in, clearly angry, and Kate asked him about the water.

This is where Jin pointed at Sawyer without saying a word. They later found out that Sawyer traded the water with Jin for a fish.

After Jack was beaten up trying to save his friend, his father told him not to be a hero because when he failed, he, "just doesn't have what it takes". His father believed that he himself had what it took because he wasn't bothered when he failed. Jack also said that he "doesn't have what it takes" when Locke told him that he needed to be a leader to the other survivors.
