Answer: Martin Milner and Kent McCord

McCord, b.Sept.26,1942, as Kent Franklin McWhirter, had his credited showbiz beginning in the TV series "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet".

2. "The Carol Burnett Show", which ran from 1967 ~ 1978, featured a short, balding, and very funny comedian who played two of the most beloved characters the show had ever seen in "Mr. Tudball" and "The Old Man". Who was this brilliant comic actor who played those two sketch parts?

Answer: Thomas(Tim) Daniel Conway

All of the choices did star at one time or another on "The Carol Burnett Show". It was Thomas(Tim)Conway though, b:Dec.15th, 1933, who did such a spectacular job of playing the two goofy characters named in the question. His ability to instill comedy into these parts was so funny that his sidekick Harvey Korman could rarely make it through the skit without busting into uncontrollable laughter, often leaving him virtually unable to carry out his own part. "The Old Man" was a slow-moving, wispy-haired klutz who would sometimes stop for no reason and utter, "Peaches Pears and PPLLUmmzz!" The other character mentioned, Mr. Tudball, did skits as a high strung office manager with a really bad toupee and a bumbling, huge rearended secretary played by Carol Burnett. Check him out on the internet for loads of good classic tv laughs.
3. This program, which ran from September 1964 until September 1967, had an animal star whose real name was Susie. The show was filmed in South Florida and the Bahamas. Which of the following animal stars did Susie play?

Answer: Flipper - a dolphin

"Flipper", starring Susie the Dolphin, was a series about a Coral Key Park Ranger Porter Ricks (Brian Kelly), a widower, and his two sons, Sandy (Luke Halpin) and Bud (Tommy Norden). The underwater photography was extremely good for the 60s, as were Flipper's awesome tricks and feats in helping Park Ranger Ricks capture bad guys.

In the show, Flipper was a male dolphin, when in fact, Flipper was really played by one of five female dolphins (except for one trick, which was performed by a male as the female dolphins were unable to perform the trick).
4. A program called "Ironside" was about a wheelchair-bound detective named Robert T. Ironside and it ran for seven and a half years from September 1967 until January 1975. Detective Ironside, a cop who barely escaped death from a vengeance-seeking assassin's bullet, was played by whom?

Answer: Raymond Burr

Robert T. Ironside(played by Raymond Burr), a 25 year veteran of the San Francisco Police Department had been promoted to Chief of Detectives. An assassination attempt left him paralysed from the waist down, hence the reason he was wheelchair bound. Unwilling to accept his infirmity, he persuades Commissioner Randall(Gene Lyons) to allow him to fight crime as a special consultant. Ironside travelled and worked from a specially modified police van.
5. Before having a hugely successful twenty-year run on t.v. from 1951 until 1971, this comedian's show had been available on radio for the previous ten years. The star, who skillfully played several quirky and memorable characters such as Willie Lump Lump and Freddy Freeloader, always ended his episodes with the words; "And may God bless." Who was this beloved comedic clown?

Answer: Red Skelton

"The Red Skelton Show" started as a radio show in 1941. It was a success yet it was television that best showcased the talented Red Skelton. Radio made it too difficult for Skelton to fully demonstrate his gift for pantomime, character roles, and sight gags. Each episode featured at least one guest star who Red often included in his hilarious skits. Musical guests sometimes were part of the show and in one of the first episodes of "The Red Skelton Show", the Rolling Stones performed. Red passed away in 1997 due to complications from pneumonia.
6. All this pretty actress had to do was wiggle her nose to bring about zany situations in this sitcom which had an eight year run from 1964 until 1972. Who played a housewife and witch, Samantha Stephens, in the show titled "Bewitched"?

Answer: Elizabeth Montgomery

"Bewitched" was a thirty minute comedy that cast Elizabeth Montgomery as a good witch, Samantha Stephens, who is married to a mere mortal, Darrin Stephens, who was originally played by Dick York, then later on by Dick Sargent. He's a regular fellow who worked for an ad agency. To maintain domestic tranquility, Samantha agrees to avoid using her magic, which was set free simply by wiggling her nose, but her nose was always just a twitch away from trouble.
7. Based loosely on the real-life exploits of Major Greg "Pappy" Boyington and VMF-214, a squadron of F4U Corsair fighter planes, "Baa Baa Black Sheep" follows the happenings of the WWII pilots of those aircraft. Which actor performed the role as Boyington, leader of the crackerjack pilots of the squadron?

Answer: Robert Conrad

All of the given choices did star in the program but it was Robert Conrad who played the lead role of Major Boyington. The program was dropped after one season, but when NBC suffered bad failures from it's 1977/1978 lineup of new shows, it brought the program back under the name "Black Sheep Squadron". Boyington was a real Corsair pilot in WWII, who was an ace and once had five kills in one day.

His WWII career shows him with a total of twenty-two kills until he was shot down in 1944 and spent a horrific eighteen months as a Japanese POW.

He was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor for his service. He died in 1988 from cancer.
8. This actor was made famous by his role in the western TV series, "Wanted: Dead or Alive". The character he played was bounty hunter Josh Randall. He passed away in 1980 from cancer. Who was this actor who went on from the TV series to enjoy a successful movie career

Answer: Steve McQueen

"Wanted:Dead or Alive", made a star of Steve McQueen. In the program, which ran from Sept. 1958 through March of 1961. McQueen played bounty hunter Josh Randall, who was a man of few words, but had scruples which was unlike most other bounty hunters. His sidearm was an 1892 model of a Winchester centre-fire 44/40 which looked like a miniature version of a full length rifle, yet handled like a revolver.

He called his sidearm "Mare's Laig".
9. "CHiPs"(CHP ~ California Highway Patrol) ran for six years, from 1977 until 1983, and was a one hour drama about the escapades of two motorcycle cops with the CHP division. Their acting names were Patrolman Francis Poncherello and Patrolman Jon Baker. Who were the two actors that played the two motorcycle cops?

Answer: Erik Estrada and Larry Wilcox

Hopefully, most would remember 'hearthrob' Erik Estrada who went by the nickname "Ponch" during the show's run. That would narrow down the other choice, which happened to be Larry Wilcox. Michael Dorn(Worf of "Star Trek: The Next Generation") also played a regular part.

Interestingly, neither Baker nor Poncherello were ever in a scene where they pulled their weapons. The chase and accident scenes were filmed on freeways and roads that were under construction and near completion.
10. Fred Sanford was a bigoted and stubborn elderly Afro-American who owned a junkyard in the Watts area of Los Angeles on the t.v. comedy series "Sanford and Son". What successful, sharp-tongued comedian played the grumpy Fred Sanford?

Answer: Redd Foxx

Redd Foxx had t.v. audiences in stitches from January 1972 until March 1977 with his famous heart attack feigning scenes and the line; "Lizbeth? I'm comin' to join ya honey!" He pulled the fake attacks whenever his son Lamont(Demond Wilson) tried to get him to do work at their salvage yard which they co-owned. LaWanda Page played his God-fearing sister-in-law Esther, whom Fred insulted constantly with lines like; "Hey Esther, why don't you go punch your face in dough and make gorilla cookies!" Whitman Mayo also co-starred as Grady Wilson, Fred's best friend, who often fell for Fred's 'get rich quick' schemes.
