Words of Wisdom From Susan Ivanova, Season 3 Quiz

Ivanova does the opening monlogue for season 3. "The Babylon project was our last, best hope for peace... It failed. But in the year of the Shadow war it became something greater: our last, best hope ... for victory. The year is 2260, the place: Babylon 5."

In "Shadow Dancing", Marcus and Ivanova are waiting for the Shadows to show up for the battle. Marcus tries desperately to get his flirt on.

Ivanova: "Someday, I'd like to be stationed somewhere with a big 4-poster bed, canopy, and maybe a window with a view of a garden."

Marcus: "I like gardens ... and big 4-poster beds."

Answer: Zog

This is definitely one of my favorite Ivanova quotes of all time. In "Voices of Authority", Ivanova, extremely frustated by the First Ones, who she is trying to convince to join B5 against the Shadows, is ready to burst when they respond to her proposal with one word...Zog. Ivanova responds, "Zog? What do you mean, Zog? Zog what? Zog yes? Zog no?"

Answer: "I think I loved Talia."

Ivanova confessed to Delenn that she thinks she loved Talia. We saw only a little of this possiblity in the episode, "Divided Loyalties", when Talia bunks up with Ivanova for a few days. However, we don't get a chance to see anything develop because it turns out Talia was the sleeper spy 'Control'.

Answer: Vir

Vir: "There were other women, but I never got past one."

Ivanova: "You mean first base?"

Vir: "No, no, I mean one. You see we have six... Uh. We have six, you see and each one is a different level of intimacy and pleasure, so first you have one, that's ... na-naa, and there is two, and by the time you get to five it's like..."

Ivanova: "Vir, I got it, I got it, I got it. Uh, um, I really don't know what to tell you Vir. I mean, I never really got this relationship thing down myself, so I am the last person in the world who should be giving out advice on this sort of thing... All I can say is that enthusiasm, sincerity, genuine compassion, and humor can carry you through any ... lack of prior experience with ... high numerical value."

Vir: "Wow. I'm going to remember that. Thank you, thank you!"

Ivanova [sighs]: "Six!?"

Answer: "The winning numbers of the New Vegas Lottery"

Ivanova: "How about the winning numbers of the New Vegas Lottery?"

Sheridan: "Absolutely. If I didn't, I might end up like you."

Ivanova: "Hey, what's that supposed to mean? Did anybody else hear that?"

Corwin: "No, Commander."

Ivanova: "I swear, if we live through this, someone is going to find their automatic shower preferences reprogrammed for ice water."

Ivanova uses Draal's holo-imaging technology to communicate with Sheridan back on Babylon 5. Unfortunately, she pops into his quarters while Julie Musante is there...undressed. To distract her from Ivanova's appearance, he kisses Musante. Ivanova goes into his bedroom, where Sheridan joins her and gives her report.

As she is about to leave she says "Good luck, Captain. I think you're about to go where everyone has gone before."

Answer: "I'll be in the car."

So Sheridan, Ivanova and Marcus get the low-down on Babylon 4 from Sinclair and Delenn in "War Without End, Part I".

Sheridan: "I believe it."

Marcus: "If Entil'zha believes it, I believe it."

Ivanova: "I'll be in the car."

Answer: Corwin

In "Exogenesis", Sheridan tells Ivanova to assess the possibility of inviting Corwin into their conspiracy. Ivanova invites Corwin to chat, who mistakenly thinks that she is actually inviting him out on a date.

Ivanova: "Listen, now that you have been promoted, I was thinking. We spend a lot of time up here together, but we never really get a chance to talk. So I was thinking maybe we could get together and talk about what you see yourself doing down the road, just ... you know, get to know each other a bit better."

Corwin: "Well. Ah. Sure. We could, I don't know, meet in the mess hall for breakfast?"

Ivanova: "No, you can't have a private conversation up there. The dishes clattering, people talking. So, why don't you come by my quarters later in the day and we can have a cup of coffee. Real coffee. Just don't ask me where I got it."
