Ape Escape 2 Trivia Quiz

Answer: Hikaru/Jimmy

Hikaru/Jimmy accidentally ships a batch of monkey helmets along with the pants that were originally ordered to be sent. This causes Specter to regain his intelligence and rebuild a bigger, badder army.

Answer: Liberty Island

Liberty Island is the first place you go to catch monkeys. It is a small beginner's level that only has you needing three monkeys out of five. It also based on the New York island of the same name, having a monkey-themed "Statue of Liberty"

Answer: Dash Hoop

The Dash Hoop is a hula hoop that lets you run very fast! It can be used for attacking, but it isn't very powerful. It's also the only way to run up slippery slops. It is good that it is given in this level because this is where blue panted monkeys are introduced, which have very high running speeds.

Answer: Traffic lights

Blue Monkey is the suave, fast lane living biker of the Freaky Monkey Five. He challenges you to a battle on a flying arena comprised of bridges that utilise traffic lights, when blue, you can cross them, but if you go over them when they're red, they will fall beneath you.

Sumo Wrestling is Yellow Monkey's theme, I made dancing up, and the Wild West Duel refers to his boss fight in "Ape Escape 3".

Answer: The Future

Virtual Reality is used for the Gadget Trainer levels, Space is for the final level "Moon base", and military is the for the penultimate level "Code C.H.I.M.P". There is no time travel in this game, so there can't be a level in the future.

Answer: Rapid Fire Pellets

Rapid Fire Pellets aren't in the game. The other three are though. Standard Pellets are unlimited and are simple point and shoot. Lock-on Pellets can, well, lock on to three enemies at a time. And finally, Explosive Pellets detonate on impact, dealing more damage then standard pellets or stun monkey's for even longer.

Answer: Increase top speed

It isn't needed for anything extra, but it helps the player by having the extra RC speed when using the car for stunning monkeys. Especially against the blue ones.

Answer: She enters a berserk state when enraged

When enraged, as seen when her concert is stopped by force (by you, no less) her eyes literally turn into stars and she flies off the ground. Her power is increased massively in this state, and she gains psychic powers similar to Specter.

As far as it goes, she doesn't have a crush on Yellow Monkey and is happy being an ape. Her singing is good too.

Answer: Land of the Apes

It is full of monkeys relaxing around. Just waiting to be captured! Some don't even have pants on in the first place here. There are three specific monkeys who are based of "The Three Wise Monkeys". Very fitting for the game.

Answer: Monkey Racing

All of these minigames except Monkey Racing exist within the game, I made that one up. The minigames are a nice little extra to the game, and can be quite addicting, Monkey Football is even expanded on based on game progression. As every caught monkey can be added to your team!

Answer: Wrestler

Red Monkey is the tough, rage-filled leader of the Freaky Monkey Five. He challenges you to a match in a wrestling ring near the end of the game. He has a lot of attacks, like spinning into you, creating flame trails, and even picking you up and slamming you into the ground. Beating him will get you Pipotchi back again.

Answer: Yellow Monkey

Yellow Monkey had over dosed on a enhanced range of bananas called "Vita-Z". An unfortunate side effect of the overdosed caused him to grow into a giant. He interrupts your confrontation with Specter at Code C.H.I.M.P, picking you up and going at you on his hand for the fight.

He isn't that hard to beat, just watch out for his attacks and when he tries to eat you, if he does, he'll chew you up and spit you back out for a whole cookie of damage!

Answer: Lethargy Laser

The Lethargy Laser is Specter's main plan of the game. It is a laser set to fire at Earth which will render all human life lazy and energy drained. You managed to stop it by catching Specter before it's activated.

Answer: Carefully do a single jump over each one while moving slowly

Many players couldn't figure out how to dodge it, as double jumping, running or any other movement causes you to get damaged. But jumping once at a time while running slowly in one direction will get you out of it. Until Specter uses his wide array of other attacks though.

Answer: A semi-new game + mode with a new playable character

After getting the true ending, the game will reveal a code you can use on the title screen, using this will start the game from the beginning, except you're playing as Kakeru/Spike from "Ape Escape 1" fame! You also get to start the game with every single gadget! Beating this mode however, unlocks nothing.
