Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. How fast does the car have to go in order to travel through time?

Answer: 88 miles per hour

The time machine, built out of a DeLorean, had to get up to 88 miles per hour. Much like the movie, Doc Brown's dog was the first time traveller. Unlike the movie, the first trip into the future didn't work. Einstein went missing.
2. Doc Brown disappeared after declaring he had made a mistake. What year was it when Marty was forced to help sell off Doc's belongings?

Answer: 1986

There was a large sign hanging in the laboratory when Marty arrived declaring "Estate Sale: May 14, 1986". Marty's dad, along with Biff Tannen were cleaning up the lab.
3. Marty's search for Doc led him to Edna Strickland. How was she related to his high school vice principal?

Answer: Sister

She was a crotchety old lady who sat in her window and looked out for kids to yell at. She did however have a collection of old newspapers that allowed him to find out when Doc Brown had been killed. Her younger self was also a key player when Marty went back in time later in the game.
4. What name was Doc Brown using in 1932?

Answer: Carl Sagan

While he was in the past he was accused of burning down a speakeasy during prohibition and was later killed by a mob. Doc was using the assumed name, to avoid any confusion since he was already alive in the city at that time. He was a 17-year-old kid in 1932.
5. While in 1932, Marty McFly needed a false name to use. When asked for a name players were given three options. Which one is the odd one out?

Answer: Clint Eastwood

Corleone is from "The Godfather" movies. Callahan was from the "Dirty Harry" movies and Crockett was from "Miami Vice".

The hint among my options is that three were fictional characters while Clint Eastwood is a real person.
6. What was the name of the charity Edna started in 1932?

Answer: Stay Sober Society

The irony was that during the game the player used Marty to trick her into delivering a barrel of bootleg booze to the Stay Sober Society meeting. They were holding their meeting at the Brown residence. Marty and Emmett Brown needed 190 proof alcohol to run their rocket-powered drill.
7. What town was the game was set in?

Answer: Hill Valley

It was the same town as the setting from the original movie. Both the Browns and the McFlys were families that had ancestors around when Marty went back in time to rescue Doc. The name Hill Valley was on several buildings and signs throughout.
8. What happened to Doc Brown's rockets near the end of chapter?

Answer: They explode

Doc, who was just rescued from jail, told Marty that he suspected that might happen to the rockets. "I never could stop them from exploding," he said. That was one of the reasons he had originally given up trying to make the rocket powered drill.
9. What profession was Marty's grandfather?

Answer: Accountant

He worked for Kid Tannen, the mobster who ran booze in the town. Arthur McFly was a mild-mannered man, who didn't want to break the law, or get on Kid's bad side.
10. Who drove the paddy wagon when Doc Brown was transferred to a different jail?

Answer: Kid Tannen

Marty tracked down the paddy wagon and saved Doc out of the back. During the daring rescue Marty managed to unlock the doors on the paddy wagon, steal Kid's gun and get Doc Brown out of the back. The paddy wagon then careened off the road into a pile of manure.
