Lara joined Von Croy on his trip to Angkor War, Cambodia, in 1984 (See "Tomb Raider: The Last Revelation").

According to Lara's Bio, she was the only survivor of a plane crash in the Himalayas, which sparked off her interest in adventuring and tomb raiding.
