Quote is apparently an amnesiac, because he was severely incapacitated in his fight with Miakid. Curly Brace was there, too, but she at least remembered her name.

Answer: Mahin

Even when he is thrown in jail in the Plantation, Mahin is always eating! We just don't know what it is.

Answer: Ballos

Ballos was Jenka's brother. He was loved on the island even more than the king. This made the king jealous, so he captured and tortured Ballos. Ballos was overwhelmed by the torture, and his magic ran wild. He destroyed the kingdom that he loved in one night. Jenka couldn't bring herself to kill him, so she locked him in the area that we now know as the Blood-Stained Sanctuary. Misery then forced him to create the Demon Crown. Because of this, Ballos cursed her, so that she and Balrog, although it is unknown how he was dragged into this, would have to obey whoever had the Demon Crown. Up to the present, Ballos killed the people who made it into his sanctuary, and was eventually killed himself by Quote and Curly Brace.

Answer: Tetsuzou Kamadani

The Hermit Gunsmith made the Polar Star. He was going to make it into the Spur, but Quote came and stole it from him. If Quote returns there later in the game, he will get one of two reactions. If he traded away the Polar Star for the Machine Gun or the Snake, the Hermit Gunsmith will ask if Quote has seen it.

He will then remark about such a terrible world it is that he lives in. If Quote has the Polar Star, the Hermit Gunsmith will get enraged, but then remark about how Quote has been using it.

He will then turn it into the Spur, the most powerful weapon in the game.

Answer: Kazuma Sakamoto

Kazuma asks Quote if he wants to escape the island with him and live elsewhere on the Surface. If you pick this ending, you will not see the rest of the game at all. This is the worst ending because the Doctor takes over the island.

Answer: Cthulhu

The people in the Cthulhu race are found in the Egg Corridor, Grasstown/Bushlands, and the Plantation, among other things. They will often say things that implies that they know Quote's past, such as asking whether the war is over, or asking where his blonde friend (Curly Brace) is.

Answer: Chako

You need Jellyfish Juice to pass through Chako's fireplace. If you examine her fireplace without Jellyfish Juice the first time you get there, Chako will ask if you want to get through, and tell you about Kulala, which holds the Jellyfish Juice. If, directly after doing this, you sleep in her bed and restore your health, when you wake up, you will find her in the bed and the useless item Chako's Lipstick (Chako's Rouge in the remake) in your inventory. Uhhhhh...

Answer: The Doctor

The Doctor came while caring to the medical needs of Sue, Kazuma, Momorin, Professor Booster, and Itoh, among other researchers. Then he found the Demon Crown and the game began!

Answer: Team 9

It makes sense that Team 9 is the answer for QUESTION NINE! These robots were annihilated by the Core, and only one of them survived. After Quote and Curly talk to it, it explodes, and the fight with the Core begins. Before or after the fight with the Core, you can find the Tow Rope wrapped around the arm of one of the robots underwater. One of these robots is also the symbol for the music "Geothermal" in the Jukebox of the DSiWare version of the game.

Answer: Numahachi

Numahachi doesn't have much to say to anyone. He works on the statues of all of the previous owners of the Demon Crown, Halda, Annachponae, Miakid, and the Doctor. He is absent when you actually go to the statue chamber when you reach Hell.
