The Falmer were the native race of Skyrim prior to the arrival of the Nords from the continent of Atmora. The Nords drove the Falmer out of their settlements, causing the Falmer to become slaves to the Dwemer until they were changed into what they are now.

In Riften, it is common knowledge that the true rulers of the city are the Black-Briar family, even if Laila Law-Giver is Jarl. As the head of the Black-Briar family, it is only fitting that Maven replaces Laila Law-Giver as the new Jarl.

Indeed, while the dragons are found throughout Skyrim, they are not native to the province. Rather, they are from Akavir. Aldmeris is the sunken continent the elves hail from, and Atmora is the continent from which the first Nordic settlers came to Skyrim. The "Elder Scrolls" series takes place on the continent of Tamriel.

Answer: Elisif the Fair

If the player sides with the Stormcloaks during the events of the Civil War, Ulfric will force Elisif to swear fealty to him, thus allowing her to keep her position. Although Balgruuf is neutral at first, he eventually sides with the Empire after the Battle of Whiterun, thus meaning that he is replaced if the player joins the Stormcloaks. Ulfric is the only Jarl who dies as part of a quest, and only if the player sides with the Empire.

When he dies, Brunwulf replaces him.

Answer: Khajiit

Khajiits begin the the game with 25 Sneak. Argonians, Dark Elves, and Wood Elves all begin with 20 Sneak. All the other races begin with 15 Sneak.

Answer: Peryite

While Peryite, Daedric Prince of pestilence, appears as a dragon, he is actually among the weakest of the Princes. Ironically, the most powerful Divine, Akatosh, also manifests as a dragon.

Answer: High Elf

As the most magically-inclined race in "Skyrim", it only makes sense for the High Elves to have more Magicka. Dark Elves are 50% resistant to fire damage, Bretons are 25% resistant to magic damage, and Imperials are able to find extra gold in containers such as chests.

Brand-Shei is a pawnbroker in Riften who was orphaned at a very young age and raised by a pair of Argonians. He is the last surviving member of House Telvanni, one of the factions from "Morrowind".

Answer: Karliah

The Nightingales are agents of the Daedric Prince Nocturnal. The original trinity consisted of Gallus, Mercer, and Karliah. Before the events of the game, Mercer murders Gallus and frames Karliah for it; he is eventually killed by the new trinity, which consists of Karliah, Brynjolf, and the player. Also, fun fact: Karliah is voiced by Moira Quirk, the referee from the Nickelodeon game show "Guts."

Who better to mention riding narwhales than the Daedric Prince of Madness himself? According to Sheo, when he was young, all he cared about was "riding narwhales, sleeping in honeycombs, and drinking babies' tears." He also advises the player to "mind the pointy end" when riding a narwhale.
