1. What is Cid's special ability? (For example, Mog can steal items and Shiroma can heal Chocobo.)

Answer: lay a land mine

Allow Chocobo to talk to Cid when you are in a dungeon. He will ask you if you want to see his Special. If you say yes, he lays a land mine where he is standing.

2. What does a Mystery Tag do?

Answer: raises all magic levels

The Mystery Tag is a very rare item. The only way I was able to obtain one was through digging in the final dungeon.

3. You are able to find Ramuh at Tonberry's restaurant. He's drunk and has accidentally morphed into what monster?

Answer: Marlboro

If you use ten Thunder Books on him, he will transform into his true form. You will then obtain the powerful Ramuh feather.

4. What happens when you throw a Lost-Child Card at an enemy?

Answer: they will retreat and be afraid to attack

Lost-Child Cards are useful if you don't want a certain monster to bother you. As Mog, I usually steal them from Trees and then kick it at them. Then I steal as many Hi-Potions and Memory Collars as I can.

5. Which of the following does not appear as a summon in the game?

Answer: Leviathan

Leviathan is actually the final boss of the Secret Dungeon. He has a whopping 6000+ HP and often casts Drain.

6. Which of the following is an incorrect match of monster and special ability?

Answer: Vampire - drains energy from you

The Vampire actually chants a long spell in an attempt to lower your level by one. The Mummy chants a shorter spell to drain some energy from you.

7. If you break a Flame Claw, you obtain either the Fireball Feather or the Ifrit Feather. What Claw would you need to break in order to obtain the Blizzard Storm or Shiva Feather?

Answer: Frozen Claw

Likewise, the Blitz Claw would give you the Thunder Cross feather or the Ramuh feather. The feather obtained depends on the level of the Claw.

8. Which of the following are impossible to equip?

Answer: feathers

You can't equip feathers like the other items. Most feathers are in use as soon as you enter a dungeon. If you want to use a Summon feather, you have to summon it yourself, draining away 30 Energy.

9. How do you obtain a Brandname Claw or Saddle?

Answer: combine equipment using a Lamia Essence

Brandname Claws and Saddles are easy to come by and are pretty powerful. If you don't get a Lamia Essence while you are in the underwater dungeon, you can always get it in the Secret Dungeon.

10. Who makes the first dialogue line of the game?

Answer: Mog

Mog tells Chocobo about the mysterious dungeon. Together, they enter the first dungeon.
