Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of these is NOT a Dragon Pokémon?

Answer: Lugia

Lugia is actually a Psychic/Flying type, although it looks like a Dragon-type. You find it on 'Pokémon Silver', 'Pokémon Gold' and 'Pokémon Crystal', and you can catch it at Lv. 40 in 'Pokémon Silver', and Lv. 70 in 'Pokémon Gold' and 'Pokémon Crystal'
2. Which Dragon move do you learn from TM02 in 'Pokémon Ruby' and 'Pokémon Sapphire'?

Answer: Dragon Claw

You get TM02 in the smallest room in Meteor Falls on 'Pokémon Ruby' and 'Pokémon Sapphire'. All the rest cannot be learned from TMs on 'Pokémon Ruby' and 'Pokémon Sapphire'.
3. What is the name of the Elite Four member that uses Dragon Pokémon in 'Pokémon Ruby' and 'Pokémon Sapphire'?

Answer: Drake

He has 5 pokémon; Bagon, Altaria, 2 Flygons and his strongest Dragon-type is Salamence. He's hard to defeat if your Pokémon are not at the right level.
4. What Pokémon does Flygon start out as?

Answer: Trapinch

Trapinch is a Ground-type Pokémon. Vibrava is Trapinch's first evolution, Bagon is what Salamence starts out as, and Swablu is Altaria's prevous form. Trapinch has the useful ability, 'Arena Trap', which prevents enemies from fleeing.
5. What rare Dragon Pokémon do you fight at the top of the Sky Pillar?

Answer: Rayquaza

You fight Rayquaza at Level 70. Latias and Latios are fought randomly, and Dragonite is Dratini's final form. It can't be found in 'Pokémon Ruby' and 'Pokémon Sapphire'.
6. What colour is Latias?

Answer: Red and White

You fight Latias randomly on Pokémon Sapphire. She's hard to catch without a Master Ball. I used a Sableye, who knew Mean Look and was quicker than Latias. And because it's a Dark Pokemon, none of Latias' attacks were effective ^^
7. Which of these Dragon Pokémon is not a Dragon/Flying-type?

Answer: Latios

Latios is actually Dragon/Psychic, just like his sister Latias. He is fought randomly on 'Pokémon Ruby', just like Latias on 'Pokémon Sapphire'. Salamence's description in the Pokédex states that it has finally achieved its dream of being able to fly. (It learns the HM move 'Fly' as soon as it evolves)
8. What colour is a Dragon Tamer's cape?

Answer: Red and Black

You don't fight many Dragon Tamers. Some of them on 'Pokémon Ruby' and 'Pokémon Sapphire' are Nicholas (Meteor Falls) and there's also one on the Ocean Current left of Pacifidlog Town.
9. How many Dragon Pokémon can you catch in 'Pokémon Sapphire'?

Answer: 4

They are Bagon (Meteor Falls), Rayquaza (Sky Pillar), Latias (random) and Altaria (Sky Pillar). You can evolve Pokémon to get more dragon Pokémon, but you can only actually catch 4. Rayquaza is fought at Level 70, and is very hard to catch if you do not have a Master Ball. Ice moves are good against it, because it is a Dragon/Flying-type Pokémon
10. What are a Dragon-type's 2 weaknesses?

Answer: Dragon and Ice

Strange that they're weak against their own attacks. Ice is especially effective against Dragon/Flying types, like Salamence and Altaria, because Ice moves are super effective against both Dragon and Flying types. This is useful to know when fighting Drake in the Elite Four, because he has 2 Dragon/Flying types. (Altaria and Salamence)
