Aerith says this on her first date with Zack which creates a fair amount of awkwardness. Luckily she slyly changes the subject to his eyes after realizing her little faux pas.

2. "It's such a backwater name..." Which town's name is Cloud referring to when he says this?

I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say roughly half of Genesis' dialogue is him reciting his precious LOVELESS play. But who knows? It may come into play (pun intended) in another installment in the compilation.

Kunsel is understandably surprised that Zack doesn't know this. Apparently Zack doesn't keep up with current affairs, even ones that concern his work.

The ever-thrifty Angeal uses this as his excuse for not using his Buster Sword too often. This is a mantra that would later be used by his student, Zack.

This line caught me off the guard the first time I heard it; it's not exactly in spirit of Sephiroth's serious character, is it? It remains my favourite Sephiroth quote because of this. Normally Sephiroth is serious.

Reno says this in one of the very few scenes he and Rude appear in.
Elena makes no appearance at all in this game.

Lazard says this late in the game when he's been transformed into an Angeal copy. This ends up crushing Zack's hope that his old mentor, the real Angeal, had returned to life.

10. Angeal states that "SOLDIER doesn't mean monster".

Answer: False

It is Zack who says this in Banora after Genesis tells him how "(they) are monsters" before flying off. This is presumably to reread his favourite book.
