The power sources can be morphed from the rhino looking monsters near Gongaga. You get a limited number of these sources throughout the game. You can find the others by morphing monsters in the Gelnika.

You can talk to Zangan in Cloud's Story and he leaves Tifa a letter and her final limit break if you play the correct song on the piano in her room.
