The Plasma Coil fires a ball of electricity that shocks nearby enemies if it hits a wall or another enemy (thus, allowing a player to hit up to four enemies in one shot). When upgraded to the Plasma Storm, the ball will also release arcs of electricity that shock any nearby enemies that it passes.

The arcs are about half as powerful as the actual ball, and the ball can continuously ricochet off an opponent (seen more frequently on larger-than-normal enemies).

The Shield Charger creates a shield around Ratchet that does not only stop incoming attacks until it takes a specific amount of damage, but also shocks enemies touching him. The Tesla Barrier (upgrade at Lv 5) shocks enemies with lightning tendrils.
