Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Rey Dun

Answer: Raiden

Raiden is a thunder God and a protector of Earthrealm. He has many abilities, including the ability to fly, teleport and control lightning. He fights on the side of good and has prevented the likes of Shinnok and Shao Kahn from destroying Earthrealm. Raiden made his first appearance in the very first "Mortal Kombat" game and has remained one of the game's most powerful characters ever since.
2. Shoe Gin Co

Answer: Shujinko

In the Konquest mode of "Mortal Kombat: Deception", Shujinko is first depicted as a young boy who is learning the ways of combat, from his teacher, Bo' Rai Cho. He is fooled however by Onaga, the Dragon King, (under the guise of Damashi), who sends him on a quest to recover the Kamidogus needed to merge the realms. This takes many years, so that by the end of the game Shujinko has become an old man. On discovering Onaga's deception he vows to destroy him once and for all.
3. Foo Gin

Answer: Fujin

Fujin first appeared in "Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub Zero", and was unnamed until his appearance in "Mortal Kombat 4", in which he was depicted as the god of wind. He fights on the side of good, and during "Mortal Kombat: Armageddon" he joined forces with Kung Lao in order to save Raiden, whose methods of protecting Earthrealm were becoming exceedingly ruthless.
4. Fay Tally Tea

Answer: Fatality

A fatality is a special finishing move that can be performed on defeating an opponent, once the classic "Finish Him" message appears on screen. They are usually quite difficult to perform, as unlike the characters' usual special moves, they often require quick button sequences.

The time frame for performing a fatality is also extremely short. Fatalities have been part of the "Mortal Kombat" games since they were first created, and are known for being extremely violent and gory. Due to this fact the concept initially caused controversy, as many parents feared it would have an adverse effect on their children.

However, some of the game's later releases gave players the option of disabling these "controversial" features.
5. Thud Ed Lee Ah Lie Aunts

Answer: The Deadly Alliance

"Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance" is the fifth game in the series, so named due to the perilous partnership formed between two of "Mortal Kombat's" most power-hungry combatants. In this game Quan-Chi has succeeded in escaping the Netherealm and joins forces with Shang Tsung. In a bold move, they succeed in defeating not only Shao Khan, but also Earthrealm's greatest warrior, Liu Kang. Together they return to Outworld, with the sole intention of resurrecting the undead army of The Dragon King, which has potentially dire consequences for the rest of the realms.
6. Belt Our

Answer: Bell Tower

The Bell Tower arena first appeared in "Mortal Kombat 3" and was also featured in "Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3", "Mortal Kombat Trilogy" and "Mortal Kombat Armageddon". The Bell Tower is thought to be located in Earthrealm, due to the moon that is featured in its background. However this is not confirmed in any of the four games that have previously been mentioned. The Bell Tower fatality allows the winning fighter to uppercut their opponent, thus sending them down six floors, to be impaled on the spikes below.
7. Gore Rose Ler

Answer: Goro's Lair

Goro's Lair, (as the name suggests), is the arena which Goro calls home. It has appeared in "Mortal Kombat", "Mortal Kombat II", "Mortal Kombat Trilogy", "Mortal Kombat 4", "Mortal Kombat Gold", "Mortal Kombat: Shaolin Monks" and "Mortal Kombat: Armageddon". There are often boulders lying around, and in later games, it also had a spiked ceiling. Various other additions were also added, and in "Mortal Kombat: Armageddon", the arena was made up of many layers, so that fighters could knock their opponents upwards or through a variety of gates.
8. Day Gun

Answer: Daegon

Daegon was first introduced in "Mortal Kombat: Armageddon", as the wicked younger brother of Taven. As the youngest son of Argus and Delia, he was (along with his brother), put into a form of suspended animation. The reason behind this, was to ensure that Taven and Daegon would participate in a future battle to save the realms from Blaze. For their mother, Delia, had foreseen a great battle that could potentially destroy everything.

However Daegon proved to be a villain, who aligned himself with enemies such as the Red Dragon Clan and Shinnok, in an attempt to destroy his brother.
9. Mow Carp

Answer: Mokap

Mokap made his debut in "Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance" as a secret character, and could only be played after performing certain tasks. In the Playstation 2 version of the game, Mokap could only be unlocked after players had completed every mission in Konquest mode for every fighter.

They then had to return to the character selection screen and hold down after highlighting Cyrax. His character biography revealed that he was a former martial arts instructor, who was called upon by Johnny Cage to work on his newest movie. Often considered somewhat of a joke character, (similarly to Meat), he fights on the side of good and has a rather humorous appearance, due to the bizarre orb-like sensors that he has attached to his costume.
10. Luke Ang

Answer: Liu Kang

Liu Kang made his first appearance in the very first game of "Mortal Kombat". In this game he succeeded in beating Goro, thus preventing Outworld from winning the tenth consecutive tournament needed for Shao Kahn (Emperor of Outworld) to take over Earthrealm.

He is the one of the best warriors of Earthrealm and fights on the side of good. In fact it takes the combined power of Shang Tsung and Quan Chi to finally defeat the Earthrealm champion in "Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance". Even so, due to the intervention of Raiden, Liu Kang returns in "Mortal Kombat: Deception", having been resurrected as an animated corpse.

His body however, goes on a killing spree, and he ends up slaying many of his own innocent Shaolin Monks. Despite not being responsible for this act, (as his soul was no longer in his body), with the help of Ermac he sets out to prevent his body from doing more damage.

In "Mortal Kombat: Armageddon", Liu Kang's body was finally reunited with his soul, and he gained the power of a God.
