"Halo 3" Characters and Creatures Quiz

Answer: Three

The Pure Form must change into it's base for before it can go on to shift into the other two. Some mistake this form to be the Hunter form of The Flood, but this is not possible as Hunters are made up of many orange worm-type creatures. The three forms are the Stalker, Tank, and Ranged forms.

Answer: ODST

ODST stands for Orbital Drop Shock Trooper. These characters wear black armour and have their heads fully encased in a black helmet with a silvery, mirrored visor. Bungie's spinoff entitled "Halo: ODST" chronicles, principally, a "rookie" following the devastating explosion at New Mombossa during "Halo 2".

Answer: Grunt

This occurs at the beginning of the level Gravemind when the Master Chief is transported into the council chamber in High Charity. The Grunt runs away making a yelp before the cut-scene ends.

Answer: Elite

The colours are Blue, Red, and Gold. Before donning the grey Arbiter armour, our principal Elite in the series wore the Gold coloured armour. Only one character is seen with White armour; Rtas 'Vadum as the Ship Master of Shadow Of Intent.

Answer: Master Chief Petty Officer John-117

At the beginning of the final cut-scene in "Halo 2" Master Chief states his designation as Spartan-117. During the beginning of "Halo 3" the UNSC references Master Chief as Sierra 117. The number is seen again at the end of "Halo 3" on the memorial for all who died during the war.

It is believed that the Arbiter scratched the number into the memorial. We hear Cortana speak the name "John" to Master Chief in the cut-scene directly following the final level in the game.

Answer: Mouth

Each species has a different associated area in which the Infection Form will protrude from. With Humans, it bursts through the chest. With Sangheilis, their heads are turned backwards and the form comes out from the back of their heads.

Answer: Cigar

The only moments Johnson doesn't have his cigar are at the ends of "Halo 2" and "Halo 3" where he is helping the player to defeat the final enemy. However, in "Halo 3" he is fatally wounded by 343 Guilty Spark in order to give the player the Spartan Laser in order to defeat the humming Forerunner creation.

Answer: Jackals

While the units still carry the Covenant sniping weapons, you mostly see them using Carbines instead. This was done to make the levels with many Jackals less difficult from "Halo 2" complaints.

Answer: Flood

As players have noted, in "Halo 3" the Flood aren't as easily kiled by the shotgun as they are in the first two games. However, because of the lack of shielding held by the Elites and Sentinels and the tough skin and muscle of the Brutes, the Flood still fall to pieces with one well placed shotgun burst.

Answer: Lord Hood

Ron Perlman voiced the character throughout all his appearances in the "Halo" franchise. Hood's appearance was largely based on that of the actor voicing him. Lord Hood's name is most likely based on Admiral Hood who fought Napoleon at the Battle of Toulous.
