The Hakkeshu Necklace blocks Orochi's power, the Kagura Mirror stops Orochi's movement, and the Kusanagi Sword seals him. Chizuru and Kyo own the other two items. When Iori wears the Hakkeshu Necklace, he is no longer able to wield his usual purple flames. Back in the ancient times (according to the storyline), the Kusanagi clan was known as the "Sword that Seals" and the Hakkeshu as the "Shield that Holds".

The Kusanagi and Hakkeshu clans were best friends until jealousy developed between them and the Hakkeshu clan made a pact with Orochi.

Answer: Iori's band was more popular than Yashiro's

Iori is the lead singer and bassist for a band named "Rickenbacher" (which is also a guitar brand name). Iori's band ousted Yashiro's as a headline act in a national Japanese band concert.

Answer: Iori hospitalized them

During his arrival in "King of Fighters '95", he teamed up with Billy Kane and Eiji Kisaragi. Billy, the right-hand man of mob boss Geese Howard, had immense hatred for Terry Bogard, who was a fighter from Southtown that bashed Billy and his boss, Geese. Eiji, like Iori, had an ancient vendetta against a clan. Eiji sought to kill the heirs of Kyokugen Karate: Ryo and Yuri Sakazaki. During their campaign, they had all agreed that each had their own targets and they would not get in each other's way.

Despite this, Eiji and Billy inadvertantly got in Iori's path and he beat them up very badly.

Answer: Shoots a diagonal column of purple flame from the ground

If you don't use the attack to its full extent, Iori will end by crossing his hands over his opponent's chest and blasting them back with fire. But if you do a certain combination of moving the joystick and hitting certain buttons, he will continue his attack by slashing upward twice and hurling the opponent away by blasting a huge column of purple fire up from the ground.

This attack is translated as "Forbidden Style #1201: Eight Maidens". The follow-up attack is actually called "Scratching Post" in the guide, though I believe it's actually a variation on his "S1407 Style: Dark Thrust Slash".

Answer: Violence

If you didn't look at the hint, you probably answered "Kyo". Although Iori is the most violent character in "King of Fighters" (most of his attacks include ripping and slashing his opponents), he hates violence. When he was a child, he was forced to become a fighter.

His likes are actually very strange, considering his personality. He likes music (he plays the bass guitar, piano, and violin), art, cats (he owns a kitten), and (according to an official manga) "long walks alone under the full moonlight".

Answer: Because he hates the sight of Kyo

Although there is a long-standing rivalry between the Kusanagi and Yagami clans, Iori cares nothing about that. He told Kyo that he wants him dead because he just hates the sight of him.

Answer: Purple flames surround his body

A Riot of Blood is basically where Iori's Orochi blood takes control of his body and he goes on a berserk killing rampage. Iori hates the fact that he can't control himself and therefore hates the Riot of Blood. Iori often has no control over his actions and doesn't realize what he's doing when he's in this berserk state.

In "KoF '97", the others fighters were able to subdue him. When he lost consciousness, he received a message from his ancestors telling him to aide Kyo against Orochi. Orochi is able to control Iori through the Riot of Blood.

Iori is the same age as Kyo.

Iori will most often first tell the opponent to go away. When they refuse to do so, he'll prepare to fight and warn them of their imminent death. Among the few exceptions to this include his intro with Akuma, where he comments on how fortunate he is to be in the center of this "unending slaughter". My favorite, however, is against Genjyuro, when he says "Die, vermin!", and Iori repeats him.

Riot Iori is faster than his standard version and also somewhat more powerful. His special combos are also slightly different. One is a typical "Kin Sen Ni Hyaku Juu Ichi Shiki: Ya Otome", except his final attack is where he slams his opponent into the ground and blasts them with fire. His other special combo is similar to Magneto's "Magnetic Shockwave" from "Marvel vs. Capcom 2".
