"King of Fighters" Characters - Billy Kane Quiz

Billy did appear in all of those games, but he first appeared in the first "Fatal Fury". He was a really hard to beat opponent, mostly because he fights using a pole, and he also had a very nasty counter move called "Liar Elemental" which was second only to Geese's "Raging Storm".

His pole is red in every single game that he appears in, even when his outfit has various colours. Aside from giving Billy great hit distance it can also extend like a three-section staff or shoot out flames.

I know it looks quite strange but it's true. You can see it in Billy's ending in "Real Bout: Fatal Fury", because that's the only scene where it's shown. Also note that Billy has the same jacket in "King of Fighters" '97, '98 and '2002.

Terry and Iori are the only two characters that, according to the storyline, ever beat Billy. Joe never even fought Billy. Joe couldn't make fun of Billy's girlfriend, because Billy doesn't have one...at least SNK never told us he does, and the story never mentions Joe making fun of Billy during an interview. But Joe did date Billy's younger sister Lilly (and he even kidnaps her in his "Fatal Fury 3" ending). Apparently though Billy doesn't want Joe as a brother-in-law (probably because of his friendship with the Bogard brothers) so he kidnaps Lilly back in his "Real Bout: Fatal Fury" ending.

Billy entered the "Fatal Fury 2" tournament to search for his boss Geese Howard who was missing after the events from "Fatal Fury" and presumed dead. In the finals of "Fatal Fury 2", while Terry Bogard was fighting Wolfgang Krauser, Billy Kane fought Lawrence Blood, Krauser's right hand.

In the end Billy won, but he was seriously injured by Lawrence and was hospitalized, which is the reason why Billy didn't appear in "Fatal Fury 3".

Geese appeared in "King of Fighters '96", teamed up with his two friends Wolfgang Krauser and Mr. Big. Geese's only purpose in entering this tournament was to examine the Orochi power. When Mr. Big found out that Geese was only using him, he tried to shoot Geese with a one-shot pistol hidden in one of his sticks, but Billy stopped the bullet with his pole. Billy is Geese's right hand and bodyguard, and he also views Geese as his only friend, so it's no wonder he rushed to save his life.

I'm sure Billy would be more than happy to hit Terry Bogard with it, and I'm also sure he would be most terrified if he hit Geese's car. The special move he did with his new pole is called "Sparrow Dropper" and it's an anti-air move where Billy extends his pole upward. Because this pole is way more powerful than his old one, he was able to actually hit an airplane, and he really looked embarrassed after he did it. You must see it to know how funny this scene is.

Billy teamed up with Eiji Kisaragi and Iori Yagami in "King of Fighters '95", he teamed up with Ryuji Yamazaki and Blue Mary in "King of Fighters" '97, '98 and '2002, and he teamed up with Ryuji Yamazaki and Gato in "King of Fighters '2003". Although the only person that he's getting along with rather well is Eiji Kisaragi. Duck King was one of Geese's henchmen back in "Fatal Fury", and was one of the few friends that Billy had.

After that he abandoned Geese's organization and became a DJ in a club in Southtown. And although he often appears in various "Fatal Fury" series, he only appeared once in the "King of Fighters" series (in "King of Fighters '2000", as a secret striker).

Billy's "Liar Elemental" is one of the most damaging Hidden Super Desperation Moves ("HSDM" for short) in the game and it's a counter move. Note that Billy only had this move in "King of Fighters '2002" and in the first "Fatal Fury" game.

Answer: You can look into your opponent's hand and discard one of his cards.

With this special power you can not only discard your opponent's most dangerous card, but you can also prepare yourself for the other dangerous cards that your opponent may hold in his hand. Too bad that Billy's special power is a "triangle" special power, which means it can be used only once when that particular card is put into play.
