"Kingdom Hearts II": The Beginning Quiz

Rai is actually part of Seifer's gang which is the rival to Roxas' gang. Seifer's gang oddly enough is completely composed of characters in the "Final Fantasy" series. Seifer is one of the main antagonists of "Final Fantasy 8", and Fuu and Rai are younger versions of Seifer's two friends Fujin and Raijin which also appear in "Final Fantasy 8".

They exhibit the same qualities as Fuu usually says only one or two words at a time and Rai usually ends all his sentences with the annoying phrase "y'know".

The other member of his gang Vivi, is a black mage who originally appeared in "Final Fantasy 9". He is not as confident as the other members of Seifer's gang.

Answer: Dog Street

This is describing Pence who is practically the photographer of the gang. Each part of Roxas' gang has their own personality. Hayner exhibits bossy qualities. Olette is the serious one who keeps the guys in check. Pence is laid back and Roxas is usually completely out of thought due to his recent dreams about Sora.

"Our --- are gone!" For some reason no one is allowed to say the word photos. Seifer accuses Roxas of taking the word and the photos themselves. Actually the real thief of the photos was a Dusk, which is probably the most common form of a new enemy in "Kingdom Hearts II", called the Nobodies.

A Nobody is formed when someone with a strong heart is turned into a Heartless. This explains why Roxas is not able to be seen or heard on the sixth day. In the first game, "Kingdom Hearts", Sora gave up his heart to save Kairi, and became a Heartless as a result.

Therefore, Roxas is Sora's Nobody. After the Dusk is defeated the word returns and Olette is the first to discover that they can say photos again.

All of these are forms of Nobodies. The Dusk, Assassin and Creeper appear in Twilight Town and are the three most common types of Nobodies. Dusks are very fluid in their movement and can only be defeated by a Keyblade. When fighting Dusks it is important to use the Reaction command Reversal in order to quickly get behind them and catch them off guard. Dusks are usually not too much of a threat unless they appear in swarms which they usually do.

The most you can get for completing a mini-game in Twilight Town is one hundred munny and that's from the job of putting up posters. The other two games in the Station Heights area are pushing a heavy load of cargo up a hill, and delivering letters. Every time the cargo bounces up hit it with a jump attack and it will go farther up the hill.

The letter delivering game can be kind of frustrating trying to find the fifth letter to deliver. The fifth letter goes to a dove that is flying around the top of the city.

In order to get it you must grind the rail with your skateboard and jump to deliver the letter. Also if you gain 1050 munny in addition to your original amount you get a +2 AP bonus. The most munny you can get before you go to the station is 1850 munny.

Answer: 5,000 munny

How kids can get so much munny in such a little time is beyond me. On your way to traveling to the station, Roxas again has another terrible headache this time visited by a member of Organization XIII. The man in a black hood steals the munny sack from Roxas, and his friends think he made the whole thing up.

Well actually, Olette was shopping and Pence was being dragged along with her. However, as soon as he talks to them a little bit time freezes and he meets Namine face to face. Roxas then goes to the sandlot and has to fight several Dusks. He then is transported to an alternate dimension having the same experience that Sora did in the original "Kingdom Hearts."

Answer: all of these

Sora is also his original color while the other characters are blue. You also fight your way through other Sora platforms, one which is green, and another is red. Likewise, you also fight the boss Twilight Thorn on a Sora platform. This is a much shorter version of "Dive Into the Heart," but there are several differences.

In this version you fight Dusks instead of Shadows, you battle on Sora platforms, and you fight Twilight Thorn instead of Darkside. Also the stained glass platforms allow you to travel from platform to platform but you have to battle Dusks while on the stained glass.

Answer: Twilight Thorn

As far as bosses go, Twilight Thorn is a little more difficult than the original Darkside but is still fairly simple to defeat. At the beginning of the battle, you must use reaction commands to injure the boss and their timing is fairly simple. The three moves you use are Key Counter, Lunarsault, and Break Raid.

After this, Twilight Thorn will fall off the platform. Move upwards towards where he fell, and the platform will tip showing Twilight Thorn again. During this section of the battle, you can use reaction commands but you must also focus on striking Twilight Thorn's head while avoiding other Nobodies.

After a while, the battle will start over where it began. Keep pummeling him and you will beat Twilight Thorn and you will wake up lying in the Sandlot next to Seifer's gang.

After this, Hayner will think you betrayed them by hanging out with Seifer's gang today.

Answer: Hayner

You can actually fight all of these foes. You can fight Seifer in the back alley but you don't fight him in the match. The idea of the Struggle match is to keep your HP up and keep your orbs to yourself. When attacking an enemy orbs will fall out and you need to try and collect as many orbs as you can.

After defeating Hayner, you will see a short cut-scene of Sefier battling Vivi. Surprisingly, Vivi pummels him but of course that's because Vivi is not the original Vivi but a Nobody. After that you battle Vivi. Vivi is fairly easy to beat but he does have some nasty attacks.

After winning against Vivi, he starts to walk off stage as time freezes yet again. However, Vivi is still moving. Then the fake Vivi turns into a Dusk! This time Axel shows up and you must defeat him. Axel will probably be the toughest enemy you fight on the fourth day.

After defeating Axel, a guy with a red mask, Diz, will show up and him and Axel try to convince Roxas to come with them. However time unfreezes shortly after and they are gone. Roxas must then battle against Setzer, the Struggle Champion.

It is not necessary that you beat him but the benefits definitely are worth it.

You actually get the Struggle trophy and the Champion Belt which will increase your fire, blizzard, and thunder resistance. You get the medal, which increases strength by 1, if you lose to Setzer. If you win there is a cut-scene where the gang splits the stones off the trophy and look at the sun through them.

Answer: Selphie

All of these characters, save Namine, originally appeared on Destiny Islands in the original "Kingdom Hearts." Selphie appeared in "Final Fantasy 8". Kairi sends a bottle with a message in it out to sea hoping that the boy she played with when she was little will find it. Sadly she can not remember Sora's name.

Answer: Final Fantasy 7

"Final Fantasy 6" also known as "Final Fantasy 3", in the US contained Setzer. Selphie, Seifer, Rai, and Fuu all appeared in "Final Fantasy 8". Vivi appeared in "Final Fantasy 9". There is also mention in the cut-scene between Kairi and Selphie about Tidus and Wakka who both appeared in "Final Fantasy 10". You will not officially "meet" a character from "Final Fantasy 7", until you arrive at Hollow Bastion where you'll meet Yuffie, Aerith, and Cid.

Answer: The Spooky Stairs

It turns out that all of the seven wonders turn out to be lame according to Pence. However, five of the wonders that Roxas encounters are the work of the Nobodies. The Spooky Stairs was the fact that the Stairs from Central Station were counted differently going up and going down. Of course Rai was the one who started this theory and everyone knows that Rai is a couple of corn dogs short of a picnic.

The Animated Bag, proposed a bag on Sunset Hill that would move around, but a dog was actually in it.

The Ghost Train was real and will make a reappearance later in the game. The Moans in the Tunnel was a Nobody Vivi that split into clones which you must battle.

Answer: The Sixth Wonder

The Second Wonder should have been ruled out immediately because Wonders 2-5 can be completed in any order. The First Wonder, as stated earlier is the Spooky Stairs. The Seventh Wonder claims that a girl appears in the second story window of the old mansion even though no one has lived there for years.

The girl that appears is Namine. Pence doesn't see her, but figures that the curtain made the appearance of a girl. The Sixth Wonder is the Ghost Train, which says that a train appears in Sunset Station and there is no one on it. That actually does appear, and it appears later when Sora arrives. That train takes them out into a different dimension that is still considered to be in Twilight Town, to a mysterious tower.

Answer: What's our boss' name?

Apparently, Roxas does not remember anything and he must fight Dusks and Assassins. After a while, the battle stops and time freezes again, including Axel. Then the voice of Diz appears and says, "Roxas, to the mansion". Having nothing else to go on, he goes to the mansion and must fight through several Dusks and Assassins to get there.

Answer: Creepers

Creepers probably resemble the Shadows of the Heartless. Creepers are fairly easy to beat, but they transform into other shapes to attack you.

After getting Namine's sketches you can find out the puzzle. The room actually appears to be much more enhanced in technology rather than the rest of the mansion. When entering in another room, Roxas destroys computers as he remembers his painful past.

Answer: Get back!

Axel is a lot tougher than he was the first time you fought him. This time, Axel can cast a spell which turns the floor into lava which slowly depletes Roxas' HP. Also, he does a dash attack, in which he goes outside of the ring of fire and charges at you.

It's very easy to see when he's going to strike though. Just use the lock-on command and you'll see where he is. Also you have the advantage on your side because you have two Keyblades at your disposal and there are several reaction commands in which Axel can be stunned leaving him open for attack.

The statement that Roxas says is, "Looks like my summer vacation is over," then the title appears. The title took a lot longer to appear in this game than in "Kingdom Hearts". From now on, Sora is the main character and he battles through Disney worlds with his good friends Donald, Goofy and Jiminy Cricket.

After saying this Donald being the crazy sort he is says, "Some journal!" Sora and company met Namine in Castle Oblivion in the game "Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories," for the Game Boy Advance. This game used the awkward battle system of using cards to use allies, items etc. and it got really confusing after a while.

King Mickey's keyblade has a silver handle, a gold key part, and a gold chain with the Mickey Mouse emblem on it. Sora's is different as he has a silver key part, a gold handle, and a silver chain with the Mickey Mouse emblem on it. This was the keyblade that Sora and Roxas first appeared with and is called the Kingdom Key. It comes with the ability Defender.

All of these, except for Monochrome, appeared in the original "Kingdom Hearts". You started with the Kingdom Key, you got Oathkeeper after saving Kairi, and you got Oblivion in the room in Hollow Bastion where you fought Riku for the second time. You do not get the Keyblade Monochrome, until you defeat Pete in Timeless River.

Ansem was the main enemy of "Kingdom Hearts". In reality it wasn't Ansem but it was actually Xehanort, Ansem the Wise's assistant. The person who says he is Ansem is not really Ansem but is Riku who has been changed in form because he chose the form of the darkness.

Roxas has the ability to obtain four but he can only carry three. Roxas can get either the Champion Belt or the Medal in the fight against Setzer. He can get an Ability Ring, which adds one AP, in Sunset City. He can also obtain an Elven Bandana in the Mansion Dining Room, which increases your defense by 1.
