Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. The Jungle Jam athletic competition appeared in "DK: King of Swing". However, a few years prior, another game with "Jungle Jam" in the title appeared in another game DK was in. What game was this?

Answer: "Mario Party 4"

The competition in "DK: King Of Swing" was hosted by Cranky Kong (who many believe to be the original Donkey Kong). The Shy Guy mini-game in "Mario Party 4" was called "Shy Guy's Jungle Jam." Jungle-based levels hosted by Shy Guys are common in "Mario Party" games.
2. Klubba was an enemy guard from the SNES game, "Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest". When you approach him in this game, three options become available. Which of the following is not one of them?

Answer: Bag A Bug

I specified I was talking about the SNES version. The "Bag A Bug" mini-game was added to the Game Boy Advance remake. The options "Fight Him" and "Run Away" have the same effect. If you fight him, he will swing his club and knock you back to the map. Run away also returns you to the map.

He has a stereotypical pirate accent. He is so ripped, he is the only Kremling the Kongs never are able to defeat.
3. The Brothers Bear is a fellowship of bears with houses and businesses scattered throughout the Northern Kremisphere in "Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!" Which of the following is not true about them?

Answer: Benny and Blue are twins

Benny and Björn are twins. The bears also appear in both the Game Boy and Game Boy Advance remakes. The bear named Barnacle Bear reappears in "Donkey Konga 3", a Japan exclusive game. The bears all have names that start with "B." I'd assume the "B" is for bear.
4. Donkey Kong's original foe, Mario, also has faced an enemy named Klubba.

Answer: False

No, but he came close to it. Mario faced an enemy named "Clubba" in the "Paper Mario" series! Both Klubba and Clubba are green. Clubba is more like a Koopa; he has a shell. Clubba can be defeated; Klubba cannot be defeated.
5. Which Brother Bear is a veteran of the Kremean War?

Answer: Bazooka

Bazooka is the only character in the history of the world to mention this war. Nothing is known about this conflict. The name implies it probably involved the Kremlings. The name of this war is a pun on the Crimean War. That was bloody conflict between European countries in the 1850s.
6. Which of the following is not a Kremling?

Answer: Knock

There has never been a Kremling named Knock. There has been one called Klank. The Krook was the foe from "Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest". They menacingly wore big, red, button-up trench coats and had hooks for hands. They used the hooks for deadly projectiles, and if they missed a Kong, they would return back to the Krook like a boomerang. Koshas were small Kremlings with giant spiked clubs.

They wore viking helmets. Even Chunky could not defeat one. They had too much power. They could only be beaten with any Kongs instrument, or with the Shockwave. Orange grenades could stop them, but only if it caught one off guard. Koins appeared in each level of "Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble".

Their shield is the DK Coin.

He would move his shield to wherever the Kongs tried to attack him. This made him impossible to beat without a Steel Keg. Usually, the Kongs had to rebound the keg off of a wall.
7. From "Yoshi's Island DS", who does Baby DK help save Baby Peach from?

Answer: Ukikis

Baby DK has appeared in two games. These games are "Yoshi's Island DS" and "Mario Super Sluggers" for the Wii. He is a playable character in both of these games.
8. "Bananus Goldus Flutterus" is the scientific name for what creature?

Answer: Banana Bird

Leave it to the creativity of Rareware to create this original creature well over ten years ago. They originally appeared in "Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble". Their heads look like a peeled banana with a beak and eyes, and their wings look like the peeled back banana skin. All must be collected to finish the game with 103%. Banana Birds much later appeared in "Donkey Konga".
9. In what game did gamers around the world discover that Wrinkly Kong had died?

Answer: "Donkey Kong 64"

It was a shock to gamers to discover she was dead. This made Cranky Kong a widower. When a Kong approached her door in the game, she would pop out, and eerie music of souls screaming would be heard. She often gave the Kongs half-truths and incomplete information. Once in a while, however, she'd be helpful.
10. In "Super Smash Bros. Brawl", what error does Kaptain K. Rool's trophy state?

Answer: Kaptain K. Rool is King K. Rool's brother

This has been deemed a mistake by Nintendo. Kaptain K. Rool is an alias/disguise of K. Rool. He was also perhaps the hardest of K. Rool's incarnations.
