Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Formerly the owner of a special travel company, this Kong has also been known to sell firearms.

Answer: Funky Kong

Funky Kong appeared as far back as the original "Donkey Kong Country" game but never became a playable character in the series until the Nintendo Switch version of "Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze". Before then, however, he played the role of flight operator, shop owner, gunsmith, and boat-seller. Often see wearing cool shades, Funky is much more often than not a supporting character who just happens to look cool on the job.
2. Appearing in an adventure in the Northern Kremisphere, this Kong threw his weight around.

Answer: Kiddy Kong

Kiddy Kong was one of the two playable characters in "Donkey Kong Country 3", and unlike any of the others up to that point (DK, Diddy, Dixie), he was able to use his immense weight to break open secret passageways and roll along stages with ease. Paired up with Dixie, he set out to save DK and Diddy from K. Rool, even though he still seemed to be an infant at the time in the game; he's officially the youngest playable Kong in the series.
3. Actually an orangutan, he collected blue bananas.

Answer: Lanky Kong

User of the OrangStand and OrangStand Sprint, Lanky Kong is a unique, playable character in "Donkey Kong 64" whose lengthy arms allow him to perform feats that the other Kongs simply can't muster. A bit of an oddjob, Lanky chases after blue bananas in the game and uses his increased speed and propensity for gas to navigate around different tasks.

He also plays the trombone and shoots grapes out of a bamboo stick. He returns in "Donkey Kong Barrel Blast" (Wii).
4. Quick and nimble on her feet, this Kong also played the saxophone.

Answer: Tiny Kong

Dixie Kong's taller, but younger sister, Tiny Kong, makes her appearance in "Donkey Kong 64" as one of the five playable Kongs, and with her small stature (and ability to go even smaller) and lightness, she proves to be ideal for getting into tighter situations after she's found in the Angry Aztec stage. Tiny uses a feather shooter (unlike her companions' food-based weaponry) and a saxophone in her arsenal. Tiny reappears in "Diddy Kong Racing DS" and "Donkey Kong Barrel Blast" amongst other games.
5. This Kong died some time after collecting Banana Birds.

Answer: Wrinkly Kong

Although Wrinkly was alive in the first three "Donkey Kong Country" games, her life took a tragic turn before the events of "Donkey Kong 64" for unexplained reasons. She still appears though, giving advice to Kongs from beyond the grave outside each world in the game. Wrinkly was, before her death, married to Cranky Kong though they were never really in the same place as one another in the earlier games.

While Cranky and Wrinkly both gave advice in "Donkey Kong Country 2", Wrinkly acted as a save point (in Kong Kollege); in "Donkey Kong Country 3", she did the same job, but Cranky hung around a sideshow.
6. This Kong brought his Peanut Popguns to the "Smash Bros." series.

Answer: Diddy Kong

Diddy Kong was been with the series since "Donkey Kong Country", and alongside DK (and sometimes others) he's become somewhat of a Nintendo star in his own right, becoming a playable character in the "Smash Bros." series as early as "Brawl" on the Wii. Light on his feet as a cheeky chimpanzee, he uses popguns to fire at foes from a range but is often seen spinning around and doing kooky moves to conquer challenges. Diddy is also known for wearing a red cap and shirt as somewhat of a nod to DK's red tie.
7. Strong but meek, this Kong can go invisible.

Answer: Chunky Kong

Chunky Kong, Kiddy's big brother, is the final Kong unlocked in "Donkey Kong 64" and while he may be the biggest of them (even bigger than DK), his tendency to be skittish and meek is a bit of a detriment. That said, when Chunky is able to wield his immense strength, be it through magical barrels or by going invisible on a Chunky Pad, he becomes a valuable asset to the rest of the team.

In addition to his heavy-hitting attacks, he uses a watermelon bazooka in battle and plays the triangle.
8. Allegedly the Donkey Kong of the original arcade games.

Answer: Cranky Kong

While Cranky doesn't often get involved with the hijinx and battles of the series, he did have his own fish to fry back in the heyday of arcade gaming because, as he states in the early "Donkey Kong Country" games, he was the first Donkey Kong, facing off against Jumpman in the classic. Often, he can be found giving advice to the Kongs on their route, operating a shop in the later games of the series, and being a mad scientist on the Nintendo 64.

He becomes playable in "Tropical Freeze" (Wii U/Switch).
9. Her ponytail can twirl like a helicopter in several of the "Donkey Kong Country" games.

Answer: Dixie Kong

Dixie Kong first appeared in "Donkey Kong Country 2". When DK was captured by King K. Rool, Diddy needed a replacement partner to head out and save him, and Dixie ended up being that sub-in. Unlike DK and Diddy, Dixie was able to spin her ponytail to create a helicopter effect that allowed her to glide over long expanses (or maneuver through the air).

This was carried over into "Tropical Freeze". She also led the charge in "Donkey Kong Country 3", pairing up with Kiddy.
10. The original game saver, this Kong was also featured in Swanky's Bonus Bonanza and sold instruments.

Answer: Candy Kong

Candy Kong was the first Kong to perform game saves using her trusty barrel in "Donkey Kong Country" and then, shortly after that, she took a back seat, appearing as a game show model in "Donkey Kong Country 2" and being virtually absent from "Donkey Kong Country 3".

She regained importance in "Donkey Kong 64" when she sold instruments off to the Kongs and upgraded their health melons. Besides this she's always had more of a role on the "Donkey Kong Country" TV series than anywhere else.
