Scott Dolph and Sergei Gurlukovich get killed by Revolver Ocelot before the tanker sinks.

Pliskin says this when you first meet him. When you get a call from the Colonel during the cutscene you hear Pliskin mutter "Kid's wired with nanomachines." Later in the game Raiden finds out that Pliskin is really Solid Snake.

Ocelot says this after Snake jumps off the edge of the Groznyj Grad sewer waterfall. Ocelot doesn't want Snake to die because he wants to get his revenge. EVA says something similar at the beginning of Operation Snake Eater when she escapes when the Ocelot unit comes. She tells Snake, "Don't go dyin' on me now," then she kisses Snake and escapes through the floor.
