There is a brief scene after the battle with The Pain showing The End being wheeled outside of a warehouse to a dock. After the scene ends, he is still in view for a moment before being taken back inside. If the player went ahead and found a sniper rifle before this scene, one can shoot The End from a distance, averting the battle with him later on.

In the HD remake, this results in a trophy/achievement for PS3/Xbox 360.

The "BS" is most likely short for "Boss", and "imago" is the final stage of an insect's development, both relating to the butterfly motif of Peace Walker and the fact that BS-Imago is the ultimate result of Strangelove's AI experiments.

By defeating the optional boss battle against Peace Walker Mk II without damaging its legs, there is a small chance that they may be retrieved and used for ZEKE. Unlike Peace Walker's S-mines, which fly upward, then rain down, ZEKE's will fly out to the side, then shoot at the player horizontally.

This is shown in the menu of the game, in which there is an option to remind the player of the events of "Peace Walker", then inform them of what went on between then and "Ground Zeroes". This is the date that the UN is ostensibly investigating Mother Base for nuclear weapons.

Big Boss starts the game with the tranquilizer gun equipped, while the standard pistol and the sub-machine gun are found in armories around the area. When carrying prisoners or unconscious/dead soldiers, Big Boss is forced to equip whichever of these weapons is possessed.

The only purpose of the box in "Metal Gear" is to avoid being seen by cameras. One may simply walk into a truck to be transported around. There are four in total, which go in a set route around the base.

Red Blaster was a Russian mercenary hired by Big Boss in Zanzibar Land. His method of fighting involves trapping his targets and bombarding them with grenades. To defeat him, Snake must break through the wires holding him in small, boxed in areas, then throw grenades of his own at Red Blaster.

Trying to shoot Fox with any weapons will only result in him blocking them with his sword, however hand to hand combat will work. Equipping the FAMAS will replace Snake's punches with using the butt of the gun, which does slightly more damage. When equipping the Nikita, Snake will slam the missile launcher into him, dealing a large amount of damage. Chaff grenades will disrupt Fox's cybernetic suit, freezing him momentarily. Equipping the socom while attacking will change nothing.
