You find the razor in the first room Raiden starts out in by hanging from the rail and shimmying to the right, jumping up and picking up the box. Later, Snake shaves his beard if you get it.

He "adopted" her when she was just a kid. He killed her parents and couldn't bear to kill her too, so he eased his pain by raising her as his own.

If you have played them, they all follow the same basic storyline, fights, layout, and other things among them. Hideo probably made such a radical change with "Metal Gear Solid 3" because we were getting bored with the usual routine.

Liquid says it near the end of "Metal Gear Solid 2" after taking complete control of Ocelot's body. Liquid died at the end of "Metal Gear Solid" and Ocelot was missing his hand because the Ninja cut it off, so Ocelot took Liquid's arm and used it to replace his useless arm.
