Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. In "Monster Hunter", what is the name of the village that you live in?

Answer: Kokoto

If you can remember, Pokke is the name of the village in "Freedom 2", Minegarde is the whole Country, and Dondruma is the name of the town were Elder Dragons are prone to attack, so it must be Kokoto. Kokoto is the village that has spawned many Legendary Hunters as well as the last-generation "Hero of Kokoto", who got this title by slaying a Desert-Dwelling Wyvern.
2. What is the name of the Desert-Dwelling Wyvern that was slain by the "Hero of Kokoto"?

Answer: Monoblos

Its Monoblos because, although all of these Wyverns can be found in the Desert area, the Village Chief (who is the Hero of Kokoto) tells you that he slayed a gigantic, one-horned Wyvern in battle. If you like to read the "Hunting Life Magazine" like me, it tells of how the Hero brought along four other hunters with him, one of whom was to be his wife. Tragically however, she died during the battle, which is why, usually, hunters set out in groups of four to honor the sacrifice made by the Great Hero.
3. What is the name of the gigantic crab-like creature that attacks the Fort?

Answer: Shen Gao-Ren

Although Lao-Shan also attacks the fort, the main difference is the fact that Lao is an Elder Dragon, While Shen is a Carapeceaon that lives inside Lao's giant skull. Thats right. You did all that work for some giant crab to come along, say "Hey! A house with no rent!" pick it up, prop it on his back, and attack the same exact Fort that his new *ahem* "house" did...what are the odds?
4. What is the name of the castle in which you can battle Fatalis?

Answer: Castle Schrade

Anyone HR4 and above should know this considering its importance for that rank. This is mentioned even before you unlock the quest to battle Fatalis.
5. What color is Teostra?

Answer: Red

It's not yellow, Rajang is the black-turn-gold one, and Lunastra is blue, so it must be red. Teostra is a dragon.
6. I just carved a Rubbery Hide. What did I just kill?

Answer: Gypceros

Gypceross' Rubbery Hide is what makes him resistant to thunder. It also makes him weak against fire.
7. I am using a weapon with something called a Spirit Gauge in the corner below my health. What weapon type am I using?

Answer: Longsword

Longswords are a new weapon type used in "Freedom 2". An evolution of Greatswords, they allow for quicker yet (slightly) weaker attacks. They're more fragile than Greatswords however, meaning they lack the ability to guard.
8. With which of these weapon types in "Monster Hunter Freedom 2" can you use items while it is drawn?

Answer: Sword and shield

This feature was added in "Freedom 2", and has probably helped a lot of people out when fighting quick small monsters. It works during any battle.
9. How many NPCs are there in "Monster Hunter Freedom 2" not including the farm, but including the Training School and Guild Hall? NOTE: The online hall and offline hall count as one hall, meaning don't count the people in the hall twice.

Answer: Twenty

They're the Peddling Granny, Felyne Granny, The Pokke Farm Helper (the guy standing by the entrance to the farm), the two people talking in the middle of the road, The Items Seller, Weapon/Armor Crafter, Weapon/Armor Seller, Village Chief, Retired Hunter, Elder Dragon Expert, Training School Instructor, Guild Manager, Normal Quest Lady, Hard Quest Lady, the Felyne who wanders around outside the hall, the Felyne who wanders inside the Hell, Treshi, and the Smart-Aleck Hunter.

There's also the lady who sells Hunter Items inside the hall.
10. What is the name of the black and red Monster that you fight in the Battleground and has two large fangs jutting out of its jaw in an upward curve?

Answer: Akantor

You start out in a Fatalis like beggining, dropping you down in the middle of the Battleground with him already seeing you. You probably need all your supplies to beat him, and your strongest weapon/armor. Pretty much ALMOST impossible, but no doubt do-able. What I mean to say is, its really hard, but people have gotten it done.
