Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Secrets Can Kill": This is the only game where you never meet the criminal before the end of the game. You can, however, find his name coded into one of Aunt Eloise's books. What is the name of this vicious villain?

Answer: Mitch Dillon

Mitch killed Jake Rodgers by pushing him down a flight of stairs at Paseo del Mar High School where Nancy's Aunt Eloise works. Unlike the others, the characters in this game are 2D, as opposed to being 3D.
2. "Stay Tuned for Danger": This villain was plain crazy! After sending death threats to a man this culprit thought had everything, the person locks Nancy and another crew member in the Light of Our Love studio. Then he/she proceeds to monologue and to try to kill Nancy! Who is this lunatic?

Answer: Dwayne

After sending death treats, tainted chocolates, a broken watch, and dead flowers to Rick Arlen, a star on the soap "Light of our Love", Dwayne got a job as an extra under a fake name. After this, he actually tried to actually kill Rick.
3. "Message in a Haunted Mansion": By helping Rose restore her San Fransisco mansion, this villain hoped to find hidden treasure. After Nancy showed up, they decided just to wait until we find it. Who is this lazy crook?

Answer: Louis Chandler

A fraudulent antiques dealer, Louis vandalized priceless historic papers and the mansion itself. Coincidentally, you get to drop a chandelier on Chandler.
4. "Treasure in the Royal Tower": This villain gave you something spicy to think about. Blinded by their mace-like concoction, you can only catch the villain by pulling the stairs out from under them. When you look down into the dungeon, who do you see?

Answer: Lisa

Lisa drops knowing hints throughout the mystery, "helping" Nancy to solve it. However, she was really a conniving crook just waiting to steal a huge diamond from the tower.
5. "The Final Scene": When your friend Maya disappears in the Royal Paladium Theatre, the more-or-less helpful caretaker takes you under his wing and into his deception. Who is he?

Answer: Joseph Hughes

Using Maya as leverage, he tries to stop the demolition of the Royal Paladium. He says, however, that he was really meaning to kidnap Brady Armstrong, who, coincidentally, partially owns the theatre and is the one who wanted the demolition.
6. "The Secret of the Scarlet Hand": This game was very confusing. One person stole the Pacal carving, but another tries to kill Nancy and has pulled other jade thefts. Who is this crazy crook?

Answer: Taylor

Taylor "Big Bunny" Sinclair had stolen jade carvings similar to the Pacal carving from multiple other places. He stole a jade necklace from Prudence Rutherford and he stole a carving from the Chaco Canyon Cultural Center in New Mexico.
7. "Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake": Using the "ghost dogs" of gangster Mickey Malone, this villain tried to scare anyone who lived in Malone's cabin away so they could look for his treasure. It worked for Nancy's friend Sally, and that why we become involved in the case. Who is this cruel culprit?

Answer: Emily Griffin

Emily owns a small store on Moon Lake. She trained the "ghost dogs" to respond a sound heard from a speaker attached to Emily's cabin (this sound is only able to be heard by the dogs). They attack the house, snarling and barking, and they jump at the doors and the windows. It's a startling experience.
8. "The Haunted Carousel": In an amusement park where the carousel runs by itself and the roller coaster loses power without explanation, who do you call? Nancy Drew, who else? In this mystery there is more than one criminal, but the profligate procrastinator who stole the merry-go-round horse, Glory, is the one I'd like named. Who is it?

Answer: Elliot

Elliot terrorized the park and stole Glory in order to make forgeries of the antique carousel horses. In this game you also help Joy rediscover her past and give her the only picture of her mother.
9. "Danger on Deception Island": When you first arrive, you find Katie's boat a wreck. Someone did not like Katie's advice on what should be done with a lone orca whale swimming in the bay. You find, in the end, that the malicious miscreant is part of something much bigger than petty theft conducted in the town. Who is it?

Answer: Andy Jason

Flying under the radar as another whale-watching tour operator, he was in competition with Katie, who also ran tours, but a little to close to the orphan whale.
Andy was actually using the whale to make dives to a valuable sunken ship. This is the reason he didn't want Katie to be able to go too close to the whale.
10. "The Secret of Shadow Ranch": This crumbling criminal helped to vandalize Shadow Ranch. Among multiple things that happen, Uncle Ed was bitten by a rattlesnake and the pump house blew up. To top it all off, a mysterious "ghost horse" gallops around the property when these accidents occur. Who is the responsible party?

Answer: Shorty

Shorty is searching for the treasure of Dirk Valentine, an outlaw that had fallen in love with the girl who had lived on the property. Before Dirk was taken by the law and hung, he hid his treasure for Frances and left her clues to find it. By far the most romantic game, when we find the treasure, it is shaped into hundreds of gold hearts.
