Nancy is invited to help with some renovation work on an old Victorian mansion, but soon finds that unexplained accidents have been slowing work. As she works, Nancy discovers that some of the "accidents" were intentional, and the game culminates when she defeats the villain by dropping a chandelier on him. Nancy traps the villain in a well in "Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake," wins a match of Ichi-Do in "Danger by Design", and knocks out the villain with an air tank in "Danger on Deception Island".

Dexter Egan, the caretaker of the Wickford Castle ski resort, asks Nancy to help him with several tasks when she finds herself snowed in at the castle. She fixes the lights, brings Professor Hotchkiss her boots, and takes the professor's dinner order, but Dexter, not Nancy, repairs her radiator.

In this mystery, Nancy must race against time to rescue her kidnapped friend before the Royal Palladium theater is demolished. Sherman Trout sends her a slide of a letter from the building's former owner that proves instrumental in keeping the building from being demolished.

This game includes a lot of educational information about the Maya civilization, and as Nancy prepares the different exhibits, she becomes a veritable expert on the Maya!

Nancy's friend Sally invites her to spend some time at her rustic cabin on the shores of Moon Lake. However, when Nancy arrives, Sally is gone, and when Nancy calls her, she finds out that Sally was scared away by "ghost" dogs. As she investigates, Nancy discovers that Sally's house was a hideout for gangsters in the 1920s, and she must probe its sinister history to discover the true identities of the ghost dogs and their owner.

The roller coaster, haunted house, midway games, and carousel are the only attractions Nancy can access. The end of the game occurs in the haunted house, where Nancy discovers the lost workshop of Rolfe Kessler, a master craftsman of carousel horses.

Above the anvil rock, Nancy finds a set of GPS coordinates. When she goes to the location indicated by the coordinates, she finds a special pair of glasses that allows her to see hidden symbols on the masts of a small carved ship. The symbols prove to be the key to opening a hidden passage in the caves under the lighthouse.

Tex is surly and mean, but as Dave, the handyman, tells Nancy, "He does his job and he does it well." Nancy has to ask Tex's permission before she goes horseback riding, and also helps him feed the horses and chickens.

In "Curse of Blackmoor Manor", Nancy is asked to figure out why Linda Penvellyn has been acting strangely, and is dispatched to Castle Blackmoor to solve the mystery. Linda's stepdaughter Jane is very interested in the supernatural world, and is a key character in the game.

Josiah Crowley promised the recently orphaned Helen Corning that he would leave her a lot of money in his will, but when he died, he left everything to Richard Topham, an eccentric man who now lives in Crowley's old house. Jim Archer is Helen's banker and was also promised a lot of money in Crowley's will. Dexter Egan is a character in a previous Nancy Drew game, "Treasure in the Royal Tower".

By making certain combinations with different weights on the scale, Nancy unlocks different things in the game. The square and duck symbols open the stove in the dining car, the owl and cherries unlock the car where the Projector is, and the eagle gives Nancy access to the pipes she must connect in the dining car.

Nancy is in Paris undercover as an assistant to Minette, an eccentric fashion designer. Nancy uses mint to bake cookies for one of Minette's models when Minette calls the model on short notice. Nancy can get the mint at one of two places: from one of the vendors in Square Du Vert Galant park or at the restaurant where she meets Jean Michel Traquenard.

Big Island Bucks are the "currency" at Big Island Mike's Immersion Excursions, where Nancy meets the Hardy Boys at the beginning of the game. Nancy has to make a necklace before Big Island Mike will give her the keys to the car that was arranged for her. Later, the Hardy Boys both fish and make necklaces to earn Big Island Bucks.
