PS2 "Final Fantasy X" Trivia Quiz

Sin suddenly arrives in Zanarkand and attacks the stadium during a blitzball game in which which Tidus is playing. Tidus survives the attack and finds his family friend Auron waiting for him. Instead of trying to flee from danger, however, Auron seems to be leading himself and Tidus straight towards the strange creature attacking the city, which awkwardly enough, only he knows about.

Answer: Baaj Temple

Though the name of the temple is not known to you yet, Tidus awakens floating around the undersea ruins of Baaj Temple after his first encounter with Sin. He wakes up around Besaid after his second encounter with Sin, not after his first. The first scene in the game takes place in Zanarkand 1,000 years before the story begins, but Tidus was never seen asleep or knocked unconscious here.

Wakka gives Tidus a brief story about his dead brother Chappu as he brings him to Besaid Village. Later that night, it becomes clear that Tidus looks a lot like Chappu when Tidus eavesdrops on Wakka and Lulu talking to each other. The next morning at the team gathers to leave the island, Wakka gives Tidus Chappu's old sword called Brotherhood.

Though Sin is indeed a reincarnate of the Final Aeon you do not find this out until the near end of the game in Zanarkand. When Tidus meets up when Auron in Luca, Auron simply states that Sin is Jecht. Auron doesn't tell Tidus directly, buts hints the relationship between Sin and Jecht to Tidus when he suggests to Tidus that he must've felt Jecht when he came into contact with Sin.

Answer: Seymour and Kinoc

Despite the fact that machina are strictly forbidden by Yevon, the maesters of Yevon seem to overlook the use of machina and say it is for the greater good of Spira. As the party observes the impending attack on Sin, Wakka is clearly angered that the Crusaders are using machina.

The party is even more surprised to find that Seymour and Kinoc, two maesters of Yevon, are not only condoning the attack, but are also supervising it.

Answer: Seymour

The party watches the sphere made by the recently departed maester of Yevon and discovers that he is murdered by his own son, Seymour. As the party watches the sphere, Yuna, who had been carrying the sphere since Jyscal's unsent ghost dropped in at the Farplane, goes through the Cloiser of Trials with Seymour to confront him about his actions herself.

Answer: Macalania

In one of the most famous scenes in the game Tidus and Yuna share their first kiss in a pond in Macalania Forest. Tidus, who has finally learned the truth about summoners' fate, approaches Yuna with an apology. After a short conversation about Yuna possibly quitting, Yuna decides she can't and Tidus and her share a long session of kissing...underwater.

At the end of their pilgrimage, the party arrives in Zanarkand only to find that the fayth had lost its power. Since then, Yunalesca has apparently used the idea of transforming summoners' guardians into fayths to create the Final Aeon. We then see a scene about how Jecht willingly offers himself to become Braska's Final Aeon.

After thinking about the new stipulation long and hard, the party decides to cast off their faith in Yevon and confront Yunalesca.

Answer: Yu Yevon

The fayth tells Tidus and Yuna the background of Yu Yevon and the power he possesses. Yu Yevon is the god of the Yevon religion. The fayth tells them how the Final Aeon is transformed into Sin after the summoner defeats Sin, thus solving the mystery of how Sin is constantly reborn.

It is also mentioned that the Final Aeon is not actually needed at all, as Yu Yevon will transform any aeon into Sin given the opportunity.

Answer: Jecht

Jecht is the current fayth whose Final Aeon form is being transformed into Sin by Yu Yevon. In order to get to Yu Yevon, the party must vanquish the aeon which hosts him. After a long awaited father-son meeting, Jecht transforms into his Final Aeon form and Tidus promises to end it all for him as the party begins to fight Braska's Final Aeon, Jecht.
