Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Blob starts his second adventure with an omnipresent ally. Who is this helpful robot?

Answer: Pinky

Pinky pops up frequently in each level, informing Blob of what tasks he must complete. When the two player cooperative mode is enabled, the second player takes control of Pinky and is able to shoot enemies and help Blob complete challenges, similar to the co-op mode of "Super Mario Galaxy".
2. The world needs colour, so Blob starts off by restoring the life to which area?

Answer: Paradise Island

Paradise Island is the first level of the game, and helps familiarise players with the mechanics of the gameplay. New colour pools allow Blob to change to the respective colour, and upon the press of a button, soak up paint to his maximum size in an instant.
3. One of the new features in the game is Inspiration, which can be used to upgrade Blob's powers. Which of these is not one of the five upgrades?

Answer: Reduce the cost of slamming INKT soldiers

Inspiration pick-ups can be found in every level, in varying numbers. These pick-ups can be used to upgrade Blob's powers. These upgrades include increasing the amount of lives Blob starts a level with, increasing Blob's maximum size, increasing Pinky's ammo (for co-op mode), increase Blob's armour against enemies, and decrease the cost for using Blob's charge ability.

Some pick-ups can be found scattered around each level in hidden places, and some are earned by completing the optional challenges once the main tasks have been accomplished and the time limit is removed from the level.
4. "de Blob 2" now features more power-ups, and more ways for Blob to cope with whatever INKT throws at him. Which of these power-ups will you not find in the game?

Answer: Spike blob

The Haz-mat power-up allows Blob to cross treacherous areas, such as pools of ink or electrocuted surfaces, without being harmed. It does not, however, protect Blob from Inky attacks. The Regen power-up constantly replenishes Blob's paint points for a limited time.

The Graviton power-up allows Blob to turn into a miniature black hole and suck in enemies and paintbots within a certain radius. Other power-ups include the Super Charge, which grants Blob the ability to charge without using up any paint points; and the Wrecking Ball, which turns Blob into a metal ball that can crush enemies, sink in water, and roll up magnetised surfaces.
5. Changing moods is back again, with even more funky music to choose from. My personal favourite is Riotous, but it is only available in one level. Which level is this?

Answer: Rocket Range

As opposed to the previous game, only a set number of moods are available in each level. On the PS3 and 360 versions of the game, the soundtrack from "de Blob" is also included, allowing more moods to be chosen. The new moods include Chilled, Empowered, Fizzy, Gonzo, Incendiary, Intrepid, Irrepressible, Pan-Galactic, Riotous, Spirited, Steppin', and Tranquil.
6. In the Blanc Cola Cannery/Soda Falls level, Blob must restore the soda towers to their normal, colourful state. What is the name of the blue soda?

Answer: Blue Ruin

There are seven soda towers at the cannery that are producing Blanc cola, a bland, black drink apparently derived from tadpoles. Blob must go into each, flush out the cola, and restore the colourful, fruity soda. The seven sodas are Red Rumba, Blue Ruin, Grape Escape, Lime Time, Orange Ale, Lemony Zest and Mucho Mocha.
7. Several levels change their names upon completing them. For instance, what starts out as Comrade Black U ends as State College. What does Blanc TV Factory change to?

Answer: House of Fun

Inside the Blanc TV factory, there are four towers which manufacture the hypnotic televisions, and Blob must conquer each to shut down the factory and give the Raydians back their colourful programming. Completing this level changes the name to House of Fun.
8. When a level's primary objectives have been completed, bonus challenges will pop up throughout the area. What colour are these bonus challenge icons?

Answer: Green

You are given the option of leaving the level or staying to complete the bonus challenges Nfld the completionists among us, these challenges offer inspiration bulbs. Blob's compass indicates the direction of the nearest challenge, as well as any unpainted buildings, trees or Graydians.
9. Can Kinect be used with the Xbox 360 version of the game?

Answer: No

Unfortunately, Microsoft's Kinect is not compatible with the game. However, the PlayStation 3 version is compatible with Sony's Move. It can be used to control both Blob and Pinky. Pinky requires only the motion controller, whereas Blob needs both the motion and navigation/DualShock 3 controllers.
10. Which level has the LEAST amount of Graydians to rescue?

Answer: Blanctown

Blanctown has the least, with only four Graydians to rejuvenate. When a row or block of buildings has been painted, Prismans will be released, and they don't require painting. Be sure to keep an eye out for those Graydians in the 2D platforming sections, as they are required for 100% completion.
