The game begins with a bunch of doctors wheeling one of their patients, who is revealed to be our protagonist Curtis Craig, into a room with electro-shock tools. Dr. Marek says "Curtis, you are having a psychotic episode. We will help you." They "help" him by giving him some sort of electric shock.

Answer: Harriet

V. Joy Lee, the actress who played Harriet in "Phantasmagoria 1", plays the role of a nameless asylum patient in "Phantasmagoria 2". She is seen in the introduction and in chapter 3. She says "Freak" repeatedly. It could've been argued that this character WAS Harriet if not for the fact that Harriet was killed in the first game. Harriet was a crazy old lady.

Although the game is called "Phantasmagoria 2", it's not really a sequel to "Phantasmagoria 1". It does not continue the story of its so-called predecessors. None of the characters from "Phantasmagoria 1" are in "Phantasmagoria 2", and only this one actress is in both games. The 2 games weren't even designed by the same person. "Phantasmagoria 1" was designed by Roberta Williams and "Phantasmagoria 2" was done by Lorelei Shannon.

Answer: He misplaced his wallet

Curtis's wallet got under his couch, so he got his rat out of its cage and he made it fetch his wallet. He used a granola bar to lure the rat out from under the couch. The rat then returned with Curtis's wallet.

Why Curtis couldn't just move the couch, no one knows. This is considered one of the worst puzzles in all of adventure games.

At work, Curtis tells people that the reason he was late is because his rat stole his wallet. Unsurprisingly, no one believed him.

Answer: Bob

Bob is one of Curtis's co-workers. Bob is a bully, and he's the only person in the office who doesn't love Curtis, or at least like him a lot.

Blob, Curtis's rat, is NOT allowed at Wyntech. However, Curtis has a photo of Blob on his desk and "Blob" is his password.

Answer: Therese

This is one things get interesting. Jocilyn is Curtis's girlfriend. Curtis thinks Jocilyn sent him the postcard. However, if you show the postcard to Jocilyn, she will unhappily say "Curtis, I didn't send you this." Curtis, taken aback, will then say that Trevor sent him this postcard as a joke. Whether or not Curtis really believes this is unknown.

When Curtis shows it to Therese, she reveals that she is the one who sent it. Therese then begins hitting on Curtis, knowing but not caring that Curtis has a girlfriend.

Answer: Trevor

Trevor, Curtis's best friend, is openly gay. When Curtis sits down at his cubicle, Trevor comes to his cubicle to tease him about being late to work. Ironically, Curtis won't see Trevor in his (Trevor's) cubicle until after he (Curtis) sits down in his own cubicle, suggesting that Trevor was even later. Trevor says to Curtis that he (Trevor) was on time even though he has a social life. Maybe he was in the bathroom.

I have to give some kudos to Trevor's actor, Paul Mitri. His performance was SUPERB! The acting of both "Phantasmagoria" games is often criticized (wrongly most of the time), but most people agree that Paul Mitri's performance was good.

Answer: He gets punched in the face

An invisible being punches Curtis in the face. There's blood on his mouth and all over his keyboard. Curtis tells Trevor about it, but since it makes no sense to him, Curtis tells Trevor that he thinks he is going nuts. Trevor tells Curtis about the time he (Trevor) had a fever and he though Dolly Parton was hiding in the closet, a story that helped me feel better.

Then Trevor proceeds to tell Curtis that he (Curtis) probably has a virus. A virus that punches you in the face?

Answer: His mother

Curtis shows all of his photos to his friends and lovers, including a photo of his parents. Jocilyn and Trevor both tell Curtis that he looks a lot like his mother. Curtis walks out of both of their offices unhappy to hear that. Trevor has a look on his face that says "What? What did I say?"

Answer: Ratboy

"Ratboy" is Bob's nickname for Curtis. It's obviously not meant to be a nice nickname, but it's actually quite appropriate in more ways than one.

Answer: Jocilyn

Curtis and Jocilyn have a date at their favorite restaurant, the Dreaming Tree, after work. We learn that Jocilyn's feelings have changed and now she wants a serious relationship with Curtis. Curtis doesn't want it because he's never felt truly close to anyone, and now Therese is hitting on him so he feels like he may want to see her instead. But in the end, Curtis invites Jocilyn round. Curtis isn't cheating on his girlfriend just yet.

Answer: Bob

Curtis wakes up late after a night of with his girlfriend. He goes to work to find a cop right outside his office and his three best friends standing there. He asks each of his friends what happened. None of them tell him exactly. Two of them mention Bob. Earlier you had witnessed a cut scene of Bob sneaking into Curtis's office and saying "Say goodbye to your hard drive!" That is a red herring. What actually happened, which Curtis would soon find out, is Bob was murdered in Curtis's office. Bob was murdered just as he was about to sabotage Curtis's hard drive.

It turns out that, although nobody liked Bob, nobody felt that he deserved that except possibly Curtis. Curtis admits that he felt absolutely nothing when he saw Bob's corpse in his office. Jocilyn and Trevor were totally shocked. Therese handled it well.

Unfortunately, the fact that Bob's corpse was in Curtis's office makes Curtis the main suspect in the cop's opinion.

Answer: Revolution

Curtis finds "Carpe Diem" written on a plaque on his boss's office wall. "Carpe Diem" is his boss's login and is also a password needed to access one of his files. The other 3 are passwords to files about the basement. They basically say that if anyone is found in the basement they should be removed by any means necessary, and possibly killed.

The exception is Curtis. If he is found in the basement, Dr. Marek is to be called immediately and Curtis is to be taken back into the asylum. While Curtis's boss is not a good man, he does value Curtis's contributions and he does not want him harmed.

Answer: Threshold

Curtis's father was deeply involved in this project. When he saw how bad it was, he demanded to Paul Warner that it be shut down. Paul Warner then said "You are a dead man, Craig." Warner was true to his word. He got some men to hit Curtis's father with a car and then shoot him.

Answer: Bisexual

Curtis tells Dr. Harburg that he wants to live with Jocilyn and Trevor and move to an island far away where no one would judge him. Dr. Harburg tells him that it's perfectly okay to have fantasies like that. Just because it's standard behavior in our society doesn't make it wrong.

Answer: Dr. Marek

When Curtis pays the bill for her date with Jocilyn, Dr. Harburg's business card slips out of his wallet. Curtis had forgotten that he had that. The game then shows a cut scene of Dr. Marek handing him that card and saying "Good luck Curtis. If you ever have anymore troubles, call this lady.

She is one of the best." Dr. Marek seems like a bad man most of the time, but he did a good thing here.
