Therese, who had sent letters to Curtis in chapter 1 and chapter 2, sends him another letter in chapter 4 that says "Meet me at the borderline tonight. This time we'll go full circle." Curtis and Therese do meet at the borderline for one last dominatrix sex scene before she gets murdered.

Jocilyn feels really sad after the murder of her good boss (who wouldn't?), so she goes to Curtis's house hoping that sex with her boyfriend will help her feel better. Unfortunately, when Curtis takes off his shirt, Jocilyn sees the whip marks on his chest.

She knows what that means, and of course it only makes her feels even worse. To make matters even worse, when she storms out of Curtis's house, she leaves her hairpin behind. Curtis makes good use of it.

Answer: Die

Chapter four is the first part of the game where Curtis can enter the basement of Wyntech, the source of all the evil in this game. He gets there with the help of Trevor, who breaks into the Wyntech network at home and discovers the password for raising the security clearance, and Jocilyn, who accidently leaves her hairpain at Curtis's house, giving Curtis a lock pick to break into Paul Warner's office. In Paul Warner's office, Curtis finds some documents with passwords. He also finds an e-mail from Trevor to him with the password for raising the clearance. He then raises his clearance enough to go into the basement. However, for some reason he doesn't give himself top clearance. So if he attempts to use his ID card to go into the top secret room in the basement, an alarm will go off and Curtis will be surrounded by a bunch of people, including Dr. Marek. Dr. Marek will say "Come along Curtis, we kept your room exactly as you left it." After that, exactly what happens is left up to your interpretation. Either he commits suicide rather than go back to the asylum (which is what he told the therapist he'd do) or his body and mind get taken over by the Hecatomb while he's in the asylum.

This surprised me at first because in "Phantasmagoria 1", you can't die until the final chapter. It was a surprise to be able to die before the final chapter in "Phantasmagoria 2".

Answer: Curtis

The reasons Detective Powell has Curtis as her main suspect:

1. Bob was murdered in Curtis's office
2. Curtis admitted that he didn't like Bob
3. Therese's murder happened in the bathroom at the borderline, less than an hour after she and Curtis had sex (multiple witnesses said that to Detective Powell)
4. Curtis has hallucinations at the wrong time.

Officer Powell berates Curtis because based on these things, she is really sure that Curtis is doing the murders. She doesn't arrest him only because she has no evidence. Curtis tells her that he believes Paul Warner is committing the murders. Although she has reason to believe him (she knows that Paul Warner destroyed evidence), she doesn't. At least she never arrests the wrong man, but then she never arrests the right man either.

The cop in the therapist's office also thinks Curtis is the murderer. At least that's understandable because when the cop walks in the office, he sees Curtis next to the therapist's dead body, and Curtis has another badly-timed hallucination and the cop hears him say "Get him! Get that thing!" but the cops sees nothing there. So the cop, terrified for his life, holds a gun to Curtis's chest. It's up to the player to do the right thing and escape or get shot.

Answer: An alien replica

Curtis gets into the top secret room using Trevor's ID after Trevor gets murdered (because for some reason Curtis didn't give himself top clearance when he had the chance). When he gets there, Paul Warner walks into the room with a gun. It turns out that Paul Warner had created an alternate dimension called "Dimension X" and he ordered his employees, like Curtis's father Jonas, to put people from the asylum in the dimension. Unfortunately, Jonas picks the wrong day to bring his son to work and leave him alone in front of the really bad room. 6-year-old Curtis wanders into the wrong room at the wrong time and Paul Warner put him in Dimension X. Unfortunately, the real Curtis never returned from Dimension X. What did come out of Dimension X is an alien replica of Curtis Craig made out of rats. That's right, the alien replica is our protagonist. The alien replica is who we've been controlling the whole game.

According to Paul, Jonas believed him when he said it was actually has son. Jonas MAY have believed him, but Curtis's mother didn't. We learn that the reason Curtis's mother went insane and hung herself is because she knew she didn't get her son back. She knew that baby she got was an alien replica, and that her real son was suffering in the other dimension. It's a shame she took her hatred out on the alien replica and not on Paul Warner (the man at fault).

Answer: The Hecatomb

During Curtis's conversation with Paul at gunpoint, a large, ugly creature emerges from dimension X and punches Paul Warner in the face, knocking him out. The creature, known as the Hecatomb, introduces itself as the real Curtis Craig. It It claims that it hates alien Curtis for stealing his life. It places hallucinations in alien Curtis's mind to make him think he is going insane. It also kills people and places hallucinations in Curtis's mind to make him think that he did it, and to make people around him think that he did it. The Hecatomb hopes to get Curtis locked up in an Asylum so it can take its life back. Curtis tries to explain that it wasn't his fault, but the Hecatomb doesn't listen. The Hecatomb takes his mother's head, and lightning bolts come out of the head's eyes. Curtis has to get into Dimension X to save himself, or the Hecatomb takes him over and the game ends.

During one of the endings, you learn that the people think Paul Warner was committing the murders. Paul Warner couldn't have gotten in the borderline though. And Curtis saw Trevor's murder with his own eyes, and Paul Warner was not present for that. The only thing that was present was the Hecatomb, which follow Curtis everywhere and has the power to make itself visible or invisible. Paul Warner did CREATE the Hecatomb, so he's still the ultimate bad guy, but he did not directly commit any of the murders.

Amazingly enough, although there is a part of the game where Paul Warner holds a gun to Curtis's head, the game does not have a way for Paul Warner to kill Curtis. Even if you just wait there while he's holding a gun to Curtis, the game does not do anything until you talk to Paul, and then the Hecatomb knocks him out before you can do anything.

In Dimension X, alien Curtis finds the real Curtis. The real Curtis will die if his life mask removes, so it forces alien Curtis into a final showdown, where Curtis gets teleported to different places and different alien replicas of people from his life show up. Curtis must do the right thing in each case, or he will die.

Answer: Dr. Harburg

There are five segments of the final battle. In the third segment, Tom, Bob, and Trevor return as zombies and come after Curtis. Curtis gets scared and drops his ID/keycard. Curtis must quickly pick up the ID card and use it on the elevator to escape. If he takes to long or talks to all 3 of the zombies, he's dead.

The 4th segment takes place at the Borderline, where a zombie Therese is on top of Curtis.

During the battle with zombie-Therese, you must quickly use the lever near the bed to hit her and escape. If you take too long or do anything else, zombie-Therese will say, in a zombie voice, "Your heart belongs to me, Curtis. It always has." Then you will see that she meant that literally. She rips Curtis's heart out, and you can see it.

That's the only gruesome Curtis death we see. Boy-Curtis can get beheaded by his mother, but unfortunately the screen cuts to black before she snips it off. So we don't see Curtis's beheading like we saw Adrienne's beheading. And there's nothing in "Phantasmagoria 2" that's anything like the demon ripping up Adrienne's face. There are some gruesome non-protagonist deaths, such as the murders of Bob and Therese.

Answer: Jocilyn

The hecatomb killed off people in ascending order going by how much Alien Curtis cared about the people, excluding Paul Warner for some reason. First, the hecatomb killed Bob, the one guy who alien Curtis didn't get along with. Then, the hecatomb killed Tom, Curtis's boss whom Curtis liked, but wasn't a close friend with. Then, the monster killed Therese, alien Curtis's co-worker who soon became his close friend and the girl whom he'd cheat on his girlfriend with. Lastly, the real Curtis killed Trevor, alien Curtis's best friend but not girlfriend. Alien Curtis managed to find and kill the real Curtis before he got Jocilyn.

Presumably, the hecatomb had to kill people that alien Curtis didn't like so it'd be possible to convince alien Curtis that he did it. It almost worked when he killed Bob. Once Tom was murdered alien Curtis knew he was innocent. The hecatomb did manage to convince Detective Powell and possibly Dr. Harburg, but neither of them were 100% sure.

Alien Curtis managed to kill the real Curtis before he killed anyone else. Alien Curtis didn't want to kill the real Curtis but he had no choice.

"Phantasmagoria 2" has two endings. You can either end the game on a date with Jocilyn. Or you can go back into Dimension X, where our protagonist originated from. If you do the latter, Curtis will spend one final day with Jocilyn, then he'll go into Dimension X and stay there.

Neither ending is meant to be a good ending or a bad ending. If you choose the former ending, Jocilyn is happy, but Curtis will never feel truly feel close to her, or like he's somewhere he belongs. If you choose the latter, Curtis ends up in his real home, where he might be happier. But then Jocilyn is sad.

It's up to you to choose the ending. Personally, I prefer staying in the real world and dating Jocilyn.

If you choose the former ending, you will overhear a conversation with two random people, basically saying that they think Paul Warner committed the murders and fled to Panama.

Paul Morgan Stetler (Curtis Craig) said that the filimg of the sex scene between Curtis and Therese during which Curtis's dead father tries to kiss him was awkward to film. Licea had to watch his wife have sex with another man. Stetler didn't like that.

Thank you, Gary Spinrad, for this awesome song that plays over the "Phantasmagoria 2" closing credits. The song fits the game, and it ROCKS! I love it even more than I love "Take a Stand," the song that plays over the "Phantasmagoria 1" closng credits. It's a shame there are only two "Phantasmagoria" games and we didn't get more awesome songs like this.

Answer: He was put in Dimension X

The very last thing you see, after the credits are over and regardless of which ending you choose, is Paul Warner's still-alive head crying in Dimension X. When Curtis exited Dimension X, Paul was just regaining consciousness. Curtis must have thrown Paul Warner into Dimension X. Paul Warner will suffer forever in the depths of Dimension X, a fate that's probably even worse than death.
