"Pikmin 1 & 2" Trivia Quiz

The player, Captain Olimar, has been struck by a meteor, and has crashed on a mysterious planet! He has thirty days to collect thirty pieces of his ship, or else. To get these ship parts back he'll need the aid of small creatures named Pikmin.

The Red Pikmin are resistant to fire. The Blue Pikmin can go underwater. The Yellow Pikmin can be thrown high and are resistant to electricity. The White Pikmin are fast and resistant to poison. The Purple Pikmin are strong and burly.

They are stronger then the average Pikmin and resistant to fire! Once finding them, they assist Olimar in recovering the first part to his ship, the Main Engine.

Answer: The Impact Site, Valley of Repose

These are the first levels in each game. Olimar unknowingly walks into an inactive onion in the Impact Site, and in the Valley of Repose, he finds the Pikmin attacking a Dwarf Bulborb.

Olimar points it out multiple times throughout his various logs and towards the beginning. If you did not know, the "Distant Planet" is clearly Earth, containing similar flora, physics,geography and multiple obvious things. In the starting cutscene of "Pikmin 2", you can even see Africa!

There are five: Impact Site, Forest of Hope, Forest Navel, Distant Spring and the Final Trial. Olimar crash lands in the Impact Site, and his journey ends after clashing with the vicious Emperor Bulbax in the Final Trial!

If Olimar manages to get all twenty-five Essential Parts and four Extra Parts, he gains access to The Final Trial! Here you use all three Pikmin from the first game to clear obstacles, and then you must proceed to fight the Final Boss! Your reward is Olimar's secret stash!

Answer: Sagittarius

It was Sagittarius, a green dish he received from his son as a gift.
Its alter ego is an identical ship part called the Libra, which he received from his daughter. It's occasionally hinted in a few of Olimar's logs in "Pikmin 2" that these may be their actual names.

Answer: Titan Dweevil

After Louie was left on the planet, he decided to aimlessly wander around as you see in the mid-way credits. Once you return to a new location dubbed "The Wistful Wild", he is nowhere in sight! Once you reach the bottom of the final cave, you duel with the Titan Dweevil in a large pit with Louie perched on top. Possibly, he was controlling the thing.

It's hinted at a few times throughout the Pikipedia logs, and Louie insists on his new nickname, "The Kings of Bugs"...

Answer: Multi-colored onions appear

If you get all the ship parts, Olimar escapes with ease! As he shoots through the atmosphere, multi-colored onions appear all over behind him! These onions are colors of Pikmin not yet seen, such as Light Blue, Orange, Black and Pink.
