Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Which of these Summons does not deal Fire damage?

Answer: Knights of the Round

Although Typoon is a Wind Elemental Summon, it attacks with Fire, along with other elements. It's a better form of Kjata. Ifrit just deals basic Fire damage, and Phoenix deals Fire damage and also revives all your party members. Knights of the Round deals multiple Non-elemental damage, and is the strongest Summon in the game.
2. Shiva is the only Summon you have to get. The rest of the Summons are optional whether you get them or not.

Answer: True

You receive it from Priscilla in Under Junon, after you revive her. Later in the game, if you return to her house, she talks a lot about marrying Cloud when she grows up.
3. How many Summons do you receive for defeating an enemy?

Answer: 6

They are Shiva (From Priscilla for defeating Bottomswell at Under Junon), Ifrit (From defeating Jenova Birth on the Cargo Ship), Odin (From the Lost Number in the Shinra Mansion), Leviathan (From Master Godo atop his pagoda, when you just use Yuffie), Bahamut (From the Red Dragon in the Temple of the Ancients) and Alexander (From Snow after you touch the hot springs). Once you defeat the monsters, don't forget to pick up the Materia, because you won't get another chance to get them. (With Leviathan, it is given to you, so don't worry about it).

Some people have argued you get Shiva for defeating an enemy, but you get it from Priscilla for resussitating her, not for beating the actual enemy.
4. Which Summon is unique to 'Final Fantasy VII'?

Answer: Knights of the Round

To get Knights of the Round, you need to ride a Gold Chocobo to an island in the middle of the sea. It attacks 13 times, dealing Non-elemental damage to all opponents. Bahamut is popular the Final Fantasy games, as is Leviathan, although it is not found in 'Final Fantasy X'. Titan can also be found in other Final Fantasy games.
5. Odin is the only summon that has two attacks.

Answer: False

Although Odin does have two attacks (Steel Bladed Sword and Gunge Lance), Choco/Mog also does (Deathblow and Fat Chocobo). They both deal Wind damage, and occasionally cause Stop.
6. What colour is Typoon?

Answer: Pink

You can find Typoon in the Ancient Forest, which is accessable by using a Green, Black or Gold Chocobo. Also, if you eventually defeat the Ultimate Weapon, it crashes and causes a crater near Cosmo Canyon, which you can just walk up to gain access to the forest.
7. Which Summon's name is taken from Norse mythology?

Answer: Odin

Odin is the main god in Norse Mythology, who is defeated by Fenrir in Ragnarok (Fenrir is also an eidolon in 'Final Fantasy IX'). Hades is taken from Greek Mythology. He is Lord of the Underworld. Shiva is a Hindu god, and Kjata is made up.
8. How many Summons have an element? (Fire, Ice, Lightning, Earth, Water, Poison, Wind or Gravity.) HINT: It's the yellow word underneath their name in the Materia List, not the type of damage they deal.

Answer: 10

They all do except for Bahamut, Neo Bahamut, Bahamut ZERO, Kjata, Odin and Knights of the Round. Although Kjata deals Fire/Ice/Lightning damage, it does not have an element.
9. How many Summons have wings?

Answer: 5

They are Bahamut, Neo Bahamut, Bahamut ZERO, Phoenix and Choco/Mog (Not the moogle, the chocobo ^^) Bahamut ZERO actually has 6 wings, and Phoenix's are rainbow-coloured.
10. To get Bahamut ZERO, you have to get all the Huge Materia. Which piece of Huge Materia do you have to touch in Bugenhagen's observatory to get it though?

Answer: Blue (Support)

To get the 4 pieces of Huge Materia, you have to: 1)stop the train from crashing into Corel (by pressing Down + X three times at the levers). 2)Defeat Shinra at Fort Condor. 3)Sink the Red Shinra Submarine. 4)Open the capsule on the rocket (Combination is O, Square, X, X)
11. What is Titan's attack called?

Answer: Anger of the Land

Titan has an Earth element, and is obtained in Gongaga from the Ruined Reactor after Scarlet and Tseng leave. They are looking for some Huge Materia, but just find Titan, which they leave and Cloud can pick up.
12. How many wings does Bahamut ZERO have?

Answer: 6

It is the third and strongest of the Bahamuts in 'Final Fantasy VII', and fires its attack from space. Bahamut is said to be the King of Dragons.
13. Which Summon has the attack 'Giga Flare'?

Answer: Neo Bahamut

Neo Bahamut is orange in colour and the second strongest Bahamut in 'Final Fantasy VII'. You get it in the North Crater, when you first go there in Disc 2. Bahamut's attack is called Mega Flare, and Bahamut ZERO's is called Terra Flare.
14. How many Summons do you find in/near reactors?

Answer: 2

They are Titan (Ruined Reactor in Gongaga) and Phoenix (Fort Condor). Fort Condor is actually a reactor atop a mountain. Shinra attacked it because the condor on top has nested there, and on Disc 2, they attack it because they want the Huge Materia. When the reactor in Gongaga exploded, it killed many civilians, and turned the town to rubble.
15. Now a last one just for fun. If you watched all the summons' attacks, how many eyes would you see?

Answer: 66

It took me a while to count them. Here's where they are. Choco/Mog=6 (Fat Chocobo=2. Deathblow=4, the chocobo and the moogle) Shiva=2, Ifrit=2, Ramuh=2, Titan=2, Odin=8 (Steel Bladed Sword=4. Sleipnir, the horse=2 and Odin=2. Gunge Lance=4. Same as Steel Bladed Sword), Leviathan=2, Bahamut=2, Kjata=2, Alexander=0 (It's just a machine), Neo Bahamut=2, Phoenix=2, Hades=2, Typoon=4 (has two heads), Bahamut ZERO=2, Knights of the Round=26 (attacks 13 times, each time a different person with two eyes.) Phew...
