Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. TMNT: Battle for the City

Answer: Plug and Play

The Plug and Play system was a mix-match between a handheld system and a console. It plugged into the TV and used that as the screen.

This game was based on the 2003 cartoon series based on the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles".

The game was released in 2006.
2. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Fall of the Foot Clan

Answer: Game Boy

"Fall of the Footclan" was one of the first handheld "TMNT" games in the franchise's long history.

Released in 1990, the game was based on the 1987 cartoon series.

In the game, there are five levels. At the end of each level players fought one of the main villains from the show: Bebop, Rocksteady, Baxter Stockman, Shredder and Krang.
3. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Manhattan Missions

Answer: PC

"Manhattan Missions" was the first computer game released in the franchise. The game ran on DOS, and followed the Turtles through Manhattan sewers.

The game was released in 1991. It drew inspiration from the comics and the 1991 film, rather than the 1987 cartoon.

The game was a take on "Prince of Persia" using the same game engine. Levels looked similar just with the Turtles instead of the prince character.
4. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizza Drop

Answer: Redemption arcade

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Pizza Drop" was an arcade game similar to "Plinko" on "The Price is Right".

The game used ping pong style balls of various colors. They were dropped from the top of the board and fell to the bottom through a series of pegs, depending on where the balls landed the player got points.

Points were translated into physical tickets at the end of the game, the tickets could be turned into the arcade for prizes.
5. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time

Answer: Arcade

The game was released in the arcade in 1991, and later ported over to the Super Nintendo about a year later. The game was a continuation of games released in the arcade and then later on home video systems. Because of that, it was as "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles in Time" when ported over. In the late 2000s it was re-released for the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360.
6. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist

Answer: Sega Genesis

Released in 1992, the game used a lot of elements from "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time". Several of the levels and character animations were the same between the two games, but the plots were completely different.

The side-scrolling game was also known as "Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles: The Hyperstone Heist" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Return of the Shredder" when released in countries outside of the U.S.
7. TMNT: The Power of 4

Answer: Mobile

Released in 2006 for mobile platforms like phones and tablets.

The game mixed various racing levels with traditional action-adventure levels. Players could use any of the four turtles throughout the game.
8. TMNT

Answer: Game Boy Advance

Based on the 2007 movie of the same name, the game was released in conjunction with that movie. There was also a console game released under the same name, but it was different than the GBA game.

The GBA game was a hack and slash fighter game.
9. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Training Lair

Answer: Xbox 360 Kinect

The Kinect accessory made for some interesting games. The premise of the accessory was that it used cameras to put the users actions in the game. Rather than using a traditional controller, the player mimicked the actions they wanted the character to do in the game.

This "TMNT" based game let players practice their ninja skills.

The game was released in 2014 as a tie in with the re-booted "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie franchise.
10. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: World Tour

Answer: Commodore 64

Not much of a game here, but it was released for gaming platforms. The "game" was a virtual coloring book that put the turtles in various locations across the globe and let people color the photos.

There were 16 colors of virtual crayons for players to use. The game was released in 1990 and was available on many consoles including, Amiga, Amstrad CPC, Atari ST, PC (DOS) and ZX Spectrum.
