Eve Teschmacher was a character from the first two live-action "Superman" movies. The name, and not much else, was taken for the character here. Instead of being Lex Luthor's mistress, she served as Cat and later James Olsen's assistant in "Supergirl".

Clark Kent, played by Tyler Hoechlin, made his debut in the series. He was referenced, both as Clark and as Superman in the first season. He appeared in one season one episode, but only shown were his boots and cape in a non-speaking role. This was the first time they appeared together on screen.
