Sims with the mooch trait can ask other sims for food or money, and often the other sim won't mind. At other sims' houses, a mooch can take food out of the fridge and no one will bat an eyelid. The more a mooch mooches, the more they will gain from mooching. The trait came in 'The Sims 3' base game.

The ability to mediate is part of the martial arts skill, which any sim can practise as long as 'World Adventures' is installed. Licking dirty plates is an interaction for sims with the slob trait.

Answer: Night owl

Night owls do not like being up before 10am and will get a moodlet that will negatively affect how they feel. It's a good idea for night owls to join a career that lets them sleep in and stay up late. They get a positive moodlet for being awake between 11pm and 5am, and will enjoy some activities more during this time. The night owl trait was part of the 'Supernatural' expansion pack.

Answer: Commitment issues

The commitment issues trait was included in 'The Sims 3' base game. A sim with commitment issues needs an incredibly high relationship with someone before they would be willing to propose marriage. They also find it hard to settle into a single career: they will sometimes want to change their job and move onto something new.

Answer: World Adventures

As an adventurous sim, Bodaway enjoys travelling to Egypt, China, and France within 'World Adventures'. He will get a positive boost to his mood when he is exploring a tomb. When Bodaway returns home, he doesn't have to wait as long as other sims before he can travel again. Exciting!

'Into the Future' allowed sims to travel - you guessed it - into the future. Simbots (robots) were also introduced in this expansion pack, with a host of traits to make them unique.

Answer: She will get the nauseous moodlet and be sick.

Vegetarians don't like eating meat and will feel nauseous if they do. The trait came with 'The Sims 3' base game, and sims can have the trait from childhood. There are vegetarian versions of meat dishes that sims can make instead. If a vampire (available in 'Night Life' and 'Supernatural') is a vegetarian, they will feel sick if they drink real sim blood. Vegetarian vampires need to eat plasma fruit to stay alive.

Answer: Natural born performer

The natural born performer trait conflicts with the coward and clumsy traits - a sim can't have both. As Josh is a natural born performer, he will be better at learning to sing, and learning do magic and acrobatics. When he is on stage, he is less likely to make mistakes, and will easily impress the audience.

The 'Showtime' expansion pack introduced performance careers and the natural born performer trait to support them.

Answer: Loves the heat

With the loves the heat trait, sims can stay outside for a long time before they suffer from sunburn. They also get a mood boost from being outside during warm weather. Loves the heat came with the 'Seasons' expansion pack, along with loves the cold. The two are not incompatible, and a sim can have both - they love the seasons all year round!

Answer: Sailor

Houseboats and the sailor trait were part of the 'Island Paradise' expansion. Sims, like Adil, who have the sailor trait will be much happier living on the water than on land. They get a mood boost from being on a boat, and will be seasick less often than other sims. Babies that are conceived aboard a houseboat are more likely to be born with the sailor trait. Aye, aye!
