In each difficulty level, there are various differences. First off, you will gain varying amounts of experience points from the enemies depending on your level. Also, the dungeons that appear in each mode vary, and there are more characters available in the harder modes. Another key difference is starting level. If on hard mode, every character you recruit starts at level 1, and you must spend more time leveling that member up, where as on the easier levels, they start closer to the level your current party has.

Lenneth Valkyrie is known as the "Chooser of the Slain". She is in all but a few battles in this game, and she can be your most useful character if you equip her correctly.

Valkyrie's Seal Rating determines how much control the Lord Odin has over Valkyrie. At the beginning of the game, Valkyrie has a ring she wears called the Nibelungen Ring that proves her loyalty to Odin. Her Seal Rating drops or raises depending on whether she is wearing it for each sacred phase (the summary between chapters).

Freya praises your performance, gives you information on those who you sent up to Asgard, and grants you many materialize points and artifacts based on how well you met Odin's requirements for the previous chapter. In Norse Mythology, Freyja (meaning "Lady") was one of the highest goddesses of the Aesir, and before
the war, a goddess of the Vanir.

According to Norse Mythology, the Einherjar are the heroes who died as brave warriors on the field of battle. They are chosen by Valkyries, who then escort them to Valhalla. There, half of them are taken by Freyja, while the remaining half stay with Odin in the
hall of the slain (Valhalla). Every morning, they are awakened by the crow of the cock Gullinkambi. During the day, they train by fighting with the other Einherjar, and are also given advice by the gods. At night, they all gather in Valhalla with Odin to feast. Afterwards, their wounds are miraculously healed, for them to start another day of training. During Ragnarok, the beginning of the end, they will fight alongside Odin in the war to end all wars against the giants. In case you are wondering, as they are brought up many times in this game, Aesir means "god", while Vanir means "friend". The Aesir are the main race of gods in Norse Mythology who live in
Asgard at the highest level of the universe, while the Vanir are the second race of gods who live in Vanaheim, which is located on the same level as Asgard. They are a race of wild nature and fertility gods, who lived more peacefully with the earth.

Answer: Weeping Lilies

The prologue is very sad... here is an excerpt from it:

Platina: "It's so beautiful! Do you think this might be... Heaven?"

Lucian: "It's bad luck to say such things!"

Platina: "Tee hee. I'm sorry."

Lucian: "These flowers... they're... Platina! We've got to get out of here! These flowers, all of them, they're... Weeping Lilies!"

Platina: "Weeping... Lilies?"

Lucian: "That's right! If we stay here, their poison will kill us! ...Platina?"

Platina: "If I were to fall asleep here, would I be able to just... slip away?"

Lucian: "Wh...What..."

Platina: "I can't stand it any longer! No matter how hard I've tried... Mother and Father have never treated me with kindness! If you care about me so much, Lucian. Do you think... Do you think we might be reborn? That we might be reborn... together?"

Lucian: ....

Platina: "I'm so glad to have known you, Lucian. But I have too many awful memories. I just want to forget. Forget...it...all..."

[Platina collapses.]

Lucian: "No! Wake up! I won't have it! You want me to forget!? Would you forget me too, Platina---? Platina? PLATINA!"

After Valkyrie and Lezard fight, Valkyrie is very adamant on the fact that love cannot exist between human and gods. Lezard Valeth expands the story into greater depths by saying "What did you just say? Between human and god? You really don't have any idea what you are, do you?"

Answer: Midgard

Midgard, which when translated means "middle earth", was connected to Asgard by a rainbow bridge called Bifrost. The game's portrayal of Midgard is fairly accurate to its Norse Mythological roots. As a centralized point in many games, middle earth is mentioned often and is sometimes alluded to based on these myths.
