Video Games from the 1980s Trivia Quiz

Answer: Street Fight

"Street Fight" was a video game brought out in the early to mid 1980s.
In each round of the game, you had to move the target around the screen following the arrows until they brought you to the first criminal which you had to shoot dead. Since your supply of amunition didn't last one whole round, you had chances to get more amunition by moving the target over boxes that would appear on the screen.
Each criminal you shot dead, gave you a certain amount of points. Besides the criminals, there was also civilians which you could rescue from the criminals and get points for saving their lives.

"Wonderboy" is a game where you have to move the boy through forests, caverns and underwater until you reach the final stage where you have to rescue the princess from her captives.

Answer: Rygar The Ancient Warrior

"Rygar The Ancient Warrior" is a game set during the stone age. In this game, you have to move through each round shooting alien robots, small horned animals and pterodactyls that carried other alien lifeforms who would drop in on you while flying overhead.
You also had a timelimit in which to reach the end of each round. If this time limit finished and you hadn't reached the end of the round, a rock monster would come after you.

"Race And Crash" is a game based in a small Japanese town where a gang of thieves loot a town and taking all the residents, only to be followed by the mysterious blue car and its driver who have to destroy the enemy gang and rescue the towns people.

Answer: Chop Lifter

"Chop Lifter" is based during WW2. It's a game where you, the helicopter pilot have to fly through enemy lines to rescue your soldiers that are being kept captive in jails by the enermy army.

Answer: Kung-Fu Kid

"Kung-fu Kid" is a game where you have to move your way through different levels fighting off the attacking zombies and other dangers until you reach the end where you rescue your girlfriend.

Answer: Double Dragon

"Double Dragon" has 4 levels. Round one is played on the street where you have to fight off gang members with whips, baseball bats, large boulders and barrels. In round two, the area where you're fighting in is a sort of factory and the gang members have the same weapons, except now they have knives as well. Round 3 is much the same as 2 so it's a little easier to figure out how to fight your way to round 4. In round 4, [the final round of the game], you have to fight your way past three giants before you enter a red carpeted room where another 10 gang members are awaiting you with your girlfriend strapped up on the wall.

After you have fought your way through the gang members in the red carpeted room, a door on one side of the room opens and the final member of the gang enters.

The man that enters the room, has long shaggy black hair and one arm is half cut off. In place of the arm, is a machine gun which he uses to try and kill you off. Once you have disposed of the machine gun man, you get your girlfriend back, but only if you're playing by yourself. If you are playing doubles, [with a partner], before you get your girlfriend back, you have to fight until one of the two [Double Dragon] fighters dies.

Then the girlfriend is yours.

Answer: Bubble Bobble

"Bubble Bobble" wasn't one of your more well known video games of the 1980s. It was based on a pretty boring screen with three levels where you have to get 4 monsters trapped in bubbles by making your dragon blow them, which caught the monsters. Then, when all four monsters were captured, you'd jump into the bubbles, making them burst and then collecting as much fruit from the burst bubbles as possible before the game screen changed to the next round.

Answer: Elevator Action

"Elevator Action" is a game where you move your man through an apartment building killing enemy spies and entering their room to collect bags of money. After you have emptied all the rooms of the enemy and of the bags of money, you continue down to the ground floor where the computer takes your man to his car and drives him off to the next building.

Answer: Pit Fall

"Pit Fall" is another one of those boring games where their isn't much action. The only real action their is, is when you have to swing across the pits of lava and when you climb underground to collect the bag of money that awaits you there. One hint, be carefull of the scorpion that guards the bag of money.
