Gerry was born on July 17, 1744 in Marblehead, Massachusetts.

Answer: Harvard

Gerry studied classical political theory at Harvard, graduating in 1762. He then remained there till 1765, studying for his M.A.

Due to the public's fear on how smallpox was spread, the hospital, located in the Marblehead area, was generally opposed. In January 1774, rioters burned the hospital to the ground.

Gerry's committee was charged with storing the weapons in Concord, whose seizure was one of the primary British goals of the march. Gerry (and other members of his committee) barely escaped capture by hiding in their night clothes in a corn field.
