Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Grymmycat here. My favorite holiday is celebrated on the night of the year when the "veil between the worlds" is thought to be thinnest. Celebrants wear disguises to prevent evil spirits from knowing who they are. What holiday is it?

Answer: Halloween

In the USA, children go from house to house asking for candy by saying, "Trick or treat!" This used to mean that if kids weren't given treats, they'd play a trick on the non-giver, such as soaping windows. The night before Halloween is known as Doorbell Night, when children ring the doorbell of a house and run away quickly.

Independence Day is always on July fourth in the United States. On July second, 1776 the thirteen colonies decided to separate from Great Britain. Whatever the "true" date is, our forefathers have always celebrated our independence on July Fourth.
