Teddy Roosevelt gave it this name in 1901.
2. Who opposed George Washington in the election of 1792?

Answer: Nobody

Nobody opposed him. Adams was his vice president and ran in 1796. Jefferson was in the cabinet and ran in 1796, 1800 and 1804, winning the last two. Franklin died in 1790.
3. As of 2000, there had been at least one US president who did not require glasses.

Answer: False

All US presidents up to the end of the 20th century had needed glasses, though some preferred not to wear them in public.
4. All of these presidents died in office, but which one actually died in the White House?

Answer: William Henry Harrison

Harrison died of pneumonia a month after taking office. The rest died while president, but in other locations.

There was no provision for replacing the vice-president until the 25th amendment. Gerald Ford was the first vice-president appointed this way after the resignation of Spiro Agnew. Nelson Rockefeller was the second, appointed by Ford after Nixon's resignation.

Answer: Dolley Madison

Dolley Madison was the first presidential wife to be referred to as the "First Lady". The term originated from the eulogy delivered by Zachary Taylor at Dolley Madison's funeral in 1849. James Buchanan's niece was also called the "First Lady of the Land" in 'Illustrated Monthly'.

Harry S. Truman was the last president to not graduate from university, although he did attend. Nine presidents didn't go on to higher education, including Washington, Jackson and Lincoln.

Martin van Buren was the first to be born after the revolutionary war, and thus in the United States. Jackson and Jefferson were both British subjects in the colonies at birth and until they were adults. Lincoln wasn't born until much later.

Answer: Andrew Jackson

Andrew Jackson was a prisoner of war during the Revolutionary War.
