10. Who was the first US president to travel outside what is now the United States during wartime?

Answer: Franklin Roosevelt

He went to Morocco in January 1943 and to Quebec in August 1943 in order to meet Winston Churchill. In November, 1943 he met with Churchill and Stalin in Teheran (in Iran) and in February, 1945 he again met the same leaders in Yalta in the Soviet Union. I've been informed that Lincoln went to Virginia before the end of the Civil war, so he was in the Confederacy. So one could argue that point too.
