1. Almost everyone loves pets, however one president went to the extreme. He had more pets at the White House then anyone else. He even had a pigmy hippo! Who was this animal lover?

Answer: Calvin Coolidge

Silent Cal Coolidge has this distinct honor. Perhaps he liked animals more than people. He had a zoo at the White House, no president past or present has come close to his record.
2. What president had a flock of sheep at the White House?

Answer: Woodrow Wilson

As odd as it may sound, Wilson had a flock of sheep at the White House in the 1900s. Some of the wool was used for the war effort during World War I.
3. What president had mice as his pets?

Answer: Andrew Johnson

I may assume that it was against his wifes wishes, however these pets belonged to Andrew Johnson, our 17th president. It is note worthy that Lincoln had the first cat as a pet in the White House. It must have been interesting seeing those two together at the White House.

Answer: Franklin D Roosevelt

FDR was very fond of his dog "Fala". The dog would go with him on most trips. The story goes that once while FDR was visiting an island in the Pacific, the dog was left behind. FDR sent a destroyer after his Fala, allegedly at a cost to the government of eight million dollars.
5. JFK is buried at Arlington National Cemetery. Who was the first U.S. President buried there?

Answer: William H. Taft

Taft is not too far from JFK in the cemetery.

Answer: Alexander Stephens

Lincoln made this remark while meeting the vice-president of the Confederacy during the Hampton Peace Conference in 1865. Stephens weighed all of 90-pounds.

In 1862, John Tyler died in Richmond, Va. His views were pro-confederate and a confederate flag covered his coffin.

Both Pierce and Grant were given tickets for speeding with their horses at Rock Creek Park. Grant insisted that he be given his ticket saying he was guilty. Pierce however had just come to Washington as president and was taken to the station. It was there people from the White House would come and verify his idenity.

On December 24, 1985, Robert Todd Lincoln Beckwith died. He was the last living descendant of Lincoln. Beckwith was Lincoln's great grandson.

Answer: Garner

This was the advice that Garner told LBJ. JFK visited Garner in Texas to wish him a happy birthday. Garner told JFK that he liked him and wished that he would be president a long time.
