I am AB positive too! Interesting - AB is one of the least common types, and here are 3 of us right off the bat! Reply #3. Oct 29 09, 9:37 AM |

I found that blood type site, and according to it I am: A natural leader (not so's you'd notice, believe me). I'm also ambitious (really?), a trendsetter (I haven't noticed anyone imitating anything I do, say or wear), independent (that's true), loyal (also true), athletic (I fell off the couch laughing at that one!), robust (well, I'm relatively healthy for a woman in her eighth decade, so I suppose that's true), passionate (that's true when it comes to people, causes or things I care about), and self-confident (true). On the negative side, I'm arrogant (a dastardly lie!), vain (oh, dear), jealous (I consider jealousy a waste of energy and time), insensitive (I don't think so), and ruthless (sure, I'm really Bernie Madoff). People who have the same blood type as me - apart from the majority of the world's population - are Ronald Reagan (ick!), Queen Elixabeth II (okay), John Lennon and Paul Newman (both very okay), Elvis Presley (ho-hum), Gerald Ford and Mikhail Gorbachev (also ho-hum) and Al Capone (ick!) Obviously, determining personality traits by blood type is about as reliable as one's daily astrological reading in the newspaper! Reply #8. Oct 29 09, 12:39 PM |

Cymruambyth, I laughed at your reaction to the result of your blood type personality quiz. To be specific, my blood type is B+. priya1234, If your blood type is O positive, you may receive blood from donors who are O positive and O negative. If your blood type is O negative, you may receive blood from donors who are O negative. People with type O blood are known as “universal donors” and those with type AB blood are known as “universal recipients.” SOURCE: Providence Little Company of Mary's, a not-for-profit healthcare system dedicated to meeting the healthcare needs of the community through the Catholic health ministry. Mine's A negative. According to this, http://www.greatdreams.com/reptlan/rhneg.htm I could be descended from alien visitors! I also have a clear, almost perfectly straight, simian crease across my right palm. Probably totally irrelevant, unless a lot of other people with Rh- blood have one. And here's a man whose blood group is B, sub-group U-neg. That's a very unusual one. http://www.nhs.uk/livewell/Blackhistorymonth/Pages/RudolphIsaacs.aspx Reply #14. Oct 29 09, 5:14 PM |

As I was more concerned with the needle I forgot to follow up my only test with the query about type which is quite unlike me. I can't be AB as my mother is O, (I think it has to be one from each for that?), but next time I go to the doctor I must remember to ask. I don't think I can do that one online somehow... You may be an alien Lesley? You'll have to come to one of my hypnosis sessions, you never know what we may learn! Reply #15. Oct 29 09, 7:05 PM |

I'm AB+ as well and am not really in that much demand for my blood seeing as it can only be given to others who are AB+ and that is a very low percentage of people. Reply #17. Oct 29 09, 7:57 PM |

Yes,Jonno, very few AB+ - about 3% in the U.K. But a nurse at the Blood Transfusion Service once said to me AB- people (around 1%) are like policemen - you can never find one when you need one! Hence the 'on-call' status. Reply #19. Oct 29 09, 8:39 PM |
