It began around the time this thread started. There's a thread in the Forums a couple of pages back that began a day or two after El Dorado began. Reply #101. Dec 01 15, 6:01 PM |

If my memory is correct it was right after last year's Halloween Challenge. Reply #102. Dec 01 15, 7:39 PM |

Would it be possible for someone to tell me what that icon is after the ride, boldly, ride line? It's so tiny! It just looks like a blur when I try to zoom in on it. Reply #104. Dec 04 15, 11:57 AM |

Someone asked that on the Forums when the badge first came out and Terry wouldn't say, said it was done on purpose - so I think we'd better not say. (Not that I can remember anyway!) You might find reading this thread helpful: http://www.funtrivia.com/forums/ubbthreads.php/topics/1072142/El_Dorado_mini_badge_lamentati#Post1072142 Reply #105. Dec 04 15, 2:45 PM |

From the brilliantly poetic flopsymopsy: I'm all done in, The rabbit sighed Looking through ev'ry crack and peephole I've been round this site Seen every byte In search of Eldorado. But I am old My fur so cold I've stomped through many a meadow And now I find It's all a grind Without a trace of Eldorado. And as I lie here Thinking thoughts dear That really shouldn't echo Oh Terry, I Don't know what else to try To search for Eldorado Over the hilltops And the Dales Down to the shores so shallow I rode my tail off; Please don't scoff But help me out in Eldorado. Thanks very much flopsymopsy! Reply #106. Dec 04 15, 10:43 PM |

flopsymopsy wrote a parody of El Dorado last year as the Llamas' Christmas message to other teams: (I hope you enjoy it as much as I did) In clinking armour An intrepid llama Set off at Funtrivia's behest Whether he was far or near His task was clear Finding gold was the primary quest. Our llama was wired His thinking inspired As his feet pounded the earth; He found litter With good bits of glitter He counted the gold it was worth. He was joined by a friend And together they'd wend Up hills and down to the valley 'Dear friend' said our hero 'We've really got zero, Do you think we are both just doolally?' And as they walked on In FT's search engine They realised the quest was no go For at this time of year With family and friends oh so dear They should herd under the mistletoe. So all the llamas Donned their pyjamas And sat round the herd's roaring fire To wish you a Merry Christmas A successful (and golden) New Year And all that your hearts do desire! Reply #107. Thanks, flopsymopsy! I'll take a look. I'm not looking to have anything handed to me - that would take the fun out of it. I just assumed I was supposed to be able to see what the icon was. Reply #108. Dec 05 15, 10:58 AM |

Reading the Forums thread again brought brought back some funny memories and a slight headache. There are subtle hints in the thread that can help you in your quest. Of course, you probably won't recognize the hints until after you've won the badge. ;) It is a quest, a journey of exploration of FunTrivia quizzes to find that badge. It's definitely not a sprint! Thanks MiraJane. I will re-read the threads. We have managed to stumble our way to 58% as of today, which isn't too shabby for 2 weeks(?) work. I was disheartened to see that Nammage is at 89%, as I thought he started with the rest of you when it was new. Not sure if he's stuck or just gave up...after all still only 54 have managed to get it, so maybe Terry should think of tossing in another clue of some sort for the ones most often missing...after all it is past the one year mark now... That tiny icon is indeed annoying - and I don't think "younger eyes" would be of any help. Are you there Terry? are you listening? Do you take bribes? Christmas is coming... LOL Reply #110. Sorry, but no more hints are going to show up. Terry stated in that thread that once every clue had been discovered by someone, there would be no more hints. When the initial rush started on the badge, at least one person had found every clue but no one had found all of them when the hints stopped. Eventually some of us put it all together. Reply #111. Kudos to you all MiraJane for finding Eldorado...I'm sure it was quite a slog - especially for those of you that were struggling before Terry added extra hints. I guess there's no way to get the original? We are now at 63% and expect to come to a grinding halt at any time now... ;) Reply #112. Dec 06 15, 12:58 PM |

pawesome: try control and your scroll tab on your mouse simultaneously. Looks like a stinking Flintstones cart almost, albeit a blurry one. Reply #113. Dec 18 15, 8:54 AM |

What forums thread? Whenever I type Eldorado into the search at the forum site it doesn't show anything. Reply #115. Dec 21 15, 10:14 AM |

The forum search engine is time limited so it won't show anything as long ago as last year. Try reading this thread - I posted the link earlier. ^^^ Reply #116. Dec 21 15, 10:46 AM |
