Each letter must appear twice on the grid that's 52 letters. What you do with the other 127 is only restricted by the normal crossword rules Reply #121. May 25 19, 7:22 PM |

I would like to claim the as yet unnumbered contract proposed by 1nn1 "Construct a symmetrical crossword containing at least 10 famous people from Canada, Australia or New Zealand. All ten must be from the same country" I chose Canadians ;) http://www.funtrivia.com/crossword/play.cfm?gid=6451 Reply #123. May 27 19, 8:53 AM |

Ah, yes, the new contract: Compose a crossword puzzle in any category using all the words of the first verse of "God Save the Queen". Each word should be used only once in the grid, no matter how often it occurs in the verse, which can be found here: https://www.lyricsfreak.com/u/uks+national+anthem/god+save+the+queen_20983467.html Reply #124. Congrats on the puzzle, leith (I'm on my third try). Plus you get bragging rights for doing it on a small grid! Reply #126. May 28 19, 10:40 AM |

I claim Contract #41 - 2 points: Write a crossword of any size in any category but General in which first names (eg John, Mary etc) make up half of the answers. (by spanishliz) Contract #42 - 1 points: Take the coordinates for your state/county/province/prefecture/parish capital and invert them. Now write a non-Geo quiz about the capital or its state/county/province/prefecture/parish closet to the new coordinates. The new location must be used in the title. Eg Canberra is located at 35.3° S, 149.1° E The nearest state capital to 35.3° N, 149.1°W is Sacramento. Therefore write a quiz about Sacramento or California in a non Geo category (by 1nn1) Since I now live in Sydney, I’ve used Nick’s example and written on California. http://www.funtrivia.com/trivia-quiz/Entertainment/It-Happened-in-California-397778.html New Contract: Use the exact same title and write three quizzes, each in a different category. Quizzes already written can count for this task. Reply #128. May 28 19, 3:36 PM |

To fellow cruciverbalists Moonraker and CdmrK - thank you. I did find that a fascinating CW to ponder. I admit that I had to google words with odd combinations of letters, but tried to choose the more well known to add to the grid. Reply #130. May 28 19, 4:09 PM |

Leith, I ended up getting a cw in the queue for Contract 30 (meeting all of the requirements), but I have to say the one you had accepted for Contract 30 looks a lot better than mine. Anyway, I'm glad that contract is off the table now. Reply #133. May 28 19, 9:08 PM |

Bernie, any commission or challenge from the Author’s Lounge. Once your crossword or quiz goes online, Kyle should be able to change the status of the commission/challenge to Complete and close it off. Reply #137. May 28 19, 10:35 PM |
